I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Central will not go undefeated and Castle will have more than 1 loss. The Bears lost some good players and Castle has averaged 3+ reg season losses for several years. I also don't think Jasper, MD and Memorial will combine for 9 losses. Memorial hosts the JCats Wk. 1, so we'll know something right off the bat. I made a V&T and rode over to watch the boys for a little while last night. Darn pothole cost me the toddy but I thought we looked pretty good. I mostly watched the big boys. We appear bigger across the board than usual. This might be the year we scrap the spread and "run it up 'n there" as ol' Bill Mallory used to say.

Southridge as a 3A or as a 2A? I ask only because you also said this: , which made me curious that maybe you saw Southridge and Gibson Southern as both being in the top 3 of 3A. That would leave out Heritage Hills, who it could argued has had greater overall success in 3A than Gibson Southern and Southridge (historically and in recent years). Interesting topic.

Screagle nailed it. Admin forced out a good coach who was consistent and dedicated. North did the same thing to Coach Wilson and they struggled mightily with the new guy who won 12 games in 5 seasons. At one time Bosse had a pretty strong athletic program, now the only sport that has any sustained success is boys basketball. That program appears to rule the roost.

I emailed with a local sports radio guy today. He said he hasn't heard anything out of Bosse on this...

I heard our bowling team borrowed our EZ camera to get better views of 7/10 split drills, but they cranked it up right through the roof of River City Bowling Center and now they have a skylight...

Not sure why you'd say that? He had great experiences in Cincy. If you thought he was good for Memorial, wait until you see him now. He's a man. I believe since he committed SIU has had 2 QBs leave. I suspect he'll be QB1 before long.

IMO new lights would be the better addition to Reitz Bowl.

EVSC (our local public school corp.) announced this week that the turf at Reitz Bowl and Central Stadium will be replaced this summer. Sprinturf was originally installed in 2009. Enlow Field is also 12 years old but is not being replaced this summer.

We took our 2017 & 2018 classes over to Mt. Carmel when they were 7th & 8th graders for a Saturday night double-header. It was a blast.

I'm pretty sure he is an engineer and worked at Crane NSWC for quite some time. I don't know anything current except that he is our OC's brother-in-law and is a pretty good dude. I still often wonder about what happened with the prior HC though. It is odd IMO.

Will certainly make the Memorial v. Central rivalry even more interesting....
