Here’s a good place to start I think Columbus East probably has all they need to claim they are the best program south of indy -
Junior League Football tournament

I don’t have a problem saying that there are parents and coaches who push the kids too hard. More that the game itself doesn’t present more risk at the lower levels. -
Junior League Football tournament

What’s the top speed of a 12 year old? And the weight? Lol the amount of force a 12 year old who weighs between 70-160 Lbs on average is significantly less than what older levels are at. By high school at the varsity level you are dealing with kids 160-300+….they are also moving at over 15mph in some cases. by the time you get to the nfl it’s 200 Lbs is small and 220-330 of pretty much pure muscle running up to 21mph is common. it takes nfl players an entire week of professional care to get rested. It’s a slight step down from that in college…in high school it’s the 5 Qtr rule unless it’s 4 varsity. there are stages to this. Simply put….The amount of force that can be generated at the lower levels allows for kids to play more and they are not at more risk for doing so compared to the higher levels of the sport….and that’s why you see increasingly more limits at the HS, College, and NFL levels. There have been so many studies and debates about this and it’s an ongoing concern no doubt…but the research guides the rules and the rules follow the research. I think if the numbers showed kids shouldn’t play as many games as they are allowed, then we would have something more restrictive. We see it with baseball at the youth levels with pitch counts and other restrictions But as I said, it’s an ongoing concern and there should always be more research into this. If the research starts to show they shouldn’t play as many games, then the rules will adjust. These are peoples kids….it’s safe to assume there are plenty of people making sure they can have fun and be safe doing so. -

I feel like it may be because the 3 area teams they pegged as the top teams…memorial MD and GS….they all did exactly what people expected lol 2A/3A/4A pretty much went as predicted for the tristate news stations -

I would say on par with their 2013 team which I believe won state? Maybe I know they beat GS in semi state -

Tbh I enjoy the radio call more than the video. I’ve especially enjoyed it this year. Cole and Kyler are doing a phenomenal job calling the games on 89.1. listen to the radio, follow Twitter….this is the way 😂 -

It’s a good thing Gibson Southern is closer to Ft Branch and not Owensville…..y’all would be disappointed with what Owensville has for food lol -

I thought it was OL…but maybe he is just a prospect for them. He’s got the frame to play both sides and multiple spots. Maybe they don’t even know how they want to use him lol -
Gibson Southern vs Lawrenceburg Regional

He plays both ways from what I have seen of him. hes at that perfect combination where he is big enough to play OL and protect the QB…but he’s got enough speed and length that he is also a good DE -

This game is probably going to come down to who has the better defense. Both teams can score a ton…but who is going to stop who first and keep stopping them. tbh, Yoon reminds me a lot of Jordan Scheller who QB’d for GS from 2010-2012. The scrambling and constant push to make something out of nothing. He’s got some legs for sure and probably is one of the best dual threat QBs we will face -

Running clock in the playoffs
DumfriesYMCA replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I don’t think it should. 2nd half only for playoffs….for half of the players every week, it’s final game they have of the year….or maybe ever if they are seniors I personally think the mercy rule has been a great addition….but we don’t need to be running clock in the 1st half of a game….especially in playoffs. -

Advantage…nobody has to take off work or school to make the long drive on friday night to see the game not sure there is a disadvantage. My complaint was always I don’t like day games on Saturdays lol…but at 5 PM this game will probably feel like a Friday game -
I didn’t think this game would finish like this but wow…it wasnt but 2 years ago teams were running for 350/400 yards against the GS defense…..and tonight they came out and held HH to -16 yards rushing in the 1st half and came up with a turnover for a score….adapted well to HH passing the ball a fair amount just so impressive. and we finally got out of 32 for the first time since 2015! Half way there
