Oh maybe. But that’s not to say it’s not a benefit….like all perks, you have to use them to enjoy them I just imagine that if in the future GS isn’t doing as well that we could find more 3A/4A sized opponents instead of 5A/6A and then if we have a strong young class then maybe put in the works to get some tougher opponents for their senior year to really get the team ready

That would be interesting I think the bigger concern though would be how much the other schools value the current flexibility. All PAC teams do have 4 non conference weeks that they can freely schedule to achieve whatever scheduling balance they want…and honestly I think that’s understated. Almost half of the schedule. Gibson Southern is an example…have been playing up and schedule 3 5A/6A teams this year…all of them over 0.500 and then Southridge to the mix…playing our toughest schedule to date with Brady as a senior and at our peak….and next year I believe we are trading out Columbus North for Terre Haute South…who is still a big school but not on CNs level….perfect for a year when we lose a lot of guys…making that game a difficult matchup to win still

So….*chews gum*….has everyone calmed down now?

Ehhh maybe. Brady has already put on 40 or so pounds in HS. He was so thin as a freshman. Sure he could put on 15 quick pounds but from what it seems he has been slowly adding the weight the right way. his size is fine though…I mean for context, Justin Herbert entered the NFL at 235 and Trevor Lawrence entered at 215 (two other QBs who stand in the 6’5/6’6 area) So I think Purdue will likely just keep him going on what he is currently doing….but certainly no rush to put on 15-20 Lbs in a year.

Sectional Draws

Brebeuf and West Lafayette in Sectional 28 would be a great one. A total shame they can get paired so early -
I imagine other team fan bases reacted similarly to Heritage Hills in the early 2000s. this is just high school football….shoot it’s football in general. you have a good program become a great program….that program has everything come together for a short period of time. Everyone overreacts and say it’s not fair and finds whatever reason they can it comes and goes….I mean…you don’t even have to look further than PAC to find Heritage Hills dominating for like the last 40 years and those early 2000s teams were winning like 96-3 in a few games also GS has lost a game…lost one pretty badly actually….so they’re not invincible. Still gotta show up every week and win shoot there’s probably more pressure this week….A loss to princeton with how good this team is would be embarrassing…and it’s a conference game now

is this what you tell yourself as a grown man when you want to trash talk a teenager but can’t find a reason for it?

I believe I seen some noise on Twitter about ineligible receivers down field last week so I’m sure there were some bulletin points for the refs Gibson Southern running a ton of RPO and bootlegs probably doesn’t help because the OL has to be much more disciplined to execute those plays without drawing a penalty….you’re going to get holding calls on plays where the QB moves outside of the pocket frequently….and you’re going to get the ineligible man downfield if you run the RPO a lot. the refs are probably keyed in on these things coming into the game…and really you have to be. If you know the RPO is going to be there you have to be aware of how far the OL can move before the ball is thrown refs get an earful from almost every coach and I doubt MTVs coach had much to do with the penalties. GS players probably played a little more sloppy in some instances and got called for it….practice hard clean it up and move on

Lmao that was my first thought

Laughable Sagarin rating
DumfriesYMCA replied to jakone's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
The opposite happened to all the SIAC schools jasper beat castle and are 7-0 but dropped HEAVY Central has a -10 score……which I haven’t even seen from programs that go winless for 3 years + -
Lol….this is why they need to make 1A 32 teams or whatever it works out to 32-64-64-64-64-and then whatever is left for 1A i think great 3A programs can compete in 4A no problem but I would hate to see a 3A team stuck in 5A where it’s an incredible battle to win it all without having the numbers
-
To add…..It might be easier to stay up in 5A for memorial than it would be at 4A. its 1 less game to get the points at 5A and 6A than the 1A-4A
-
Is Memorial still going to be in 4A if and when GS is bumped up to 4A because of enrollment? Not sure what year it is on success factor or how many points Memorial has….it might be a bit before we get to see it again

I hope y’all are right about this but I’m sure there will be an absolutely packed house in Mt Vernon with hundreds of people who will make it harder on GS although the most impressive thing about GS these past 10 years hasn’t always been the on field performances…but rather how many GS fans travel to the games. always pretty cool to see the GS visiting side with a number that makes you question if they have more people there than the home team

I was just looking at the Indiana state records for football and noticed a few things Brady Allen is currently 10th all time in passing yards with 9116 yards. Roughly 200 yards away from 9th and 400 away from 8th all time currently 3100 yards off from #1 all time in passing yards. But I’m not sure he is going to get there as it would require him to get to 4500 yards on the year and break the single season passing record. he is also 29 TD passes away from being tied for 1st plays for career passing TDs. Currently has 22 through 6 games as well as being 134 pass completions away from having the most career completions. im not sure if he breaks any of these records but thought it was pretty cool and realized how blessed we have been over the last 4 years. Going to be fun watching him finish out his career…which feels like it has flown by too fast
