  1. In regards to the NIC and NLC, it has been years since they have been the force that they once were. Still good football in the area, just is not what it use to be. Demographics have changed, coaches have left, and interest as a whole seem to be waning. The Indy area schools are the heartbeat of the state, Fort Wayne schools are always tough, the Region will have a team or 2 to deal with occasionally, Lafayette holds its own. Deep down along the Wabash and Ohio, there is good ball being played. The Michiana teams aren't caring their weight like they use to.
  2. -20 F would be to cold.
  3. If 2020 had taught me anything, this year doesn't care what we deserve.
  4. The world is full of special people.
  5. When I saw it on the stream, it was a good call. I think the guy who made the hit kinda got lost at where he was on the field. I don't think it was vicious intent, I think it was a guy who reacted in an intense moment of the game.
  6. Yeah, that was weird. I would think it would be Pioneer ball at the spot.
  7. The Lions had to play perfect. That didn’t happen. Hard hitting game. Fun to watch. I’ve never seen a do-over play outside of the school yard. Lions have talent coming back, but have to find a few more playmakers to replace the seniors. Hope to do it again very soon Pioneer.
  8. To your point, basketball was getting beat up in the NSC as well. They just don't seem to care to improve it. Don't get me going on the clown show that is Troy and Bruce.
  9. Glenn may... but that is speculation on my part.
  10. Looks like they may pull the plug on the whole season.
  11. Like I said earlier, this is a measuring stick game for Bremen. Pioneer is the model for what many small schools want to emulate. Echoing what FinePrint has to say, Bremen plays with a chip on its shoulders and loves these kind of games. Bremen has to be perfect and get a few breaks. It should be a lot of fun. Wish we could have packed stands, because big games like this at Bunge Field are awesome.
  12. That is a fair assessment, not going to find to many people who will be willing to argue with your logic.
  13. Does Bremen have a chance, sure? A very good chance, nah. Pioneer is dang near perfection when it comes to execution. It will take perfect football to sneak this one out. It is championship football though, and the Lions have to be excited for their opportunity to have some eyes on them from around the region. A lot of folks will be intrigued to see how this one turns out.
  14. The Pioneer Bremen game is going to be a lot of fun. Pioneer is a measuring stick program for small schools. The Lions get a chance to see where they stack up against one of the best small school programs in the state. Bremen will need to be fundamentally sound in all facets of the game and get a couple of breaks to pull off an upset. I'm excited for this match-up.
  15. This is a horrible statement.
  16. Looking forward to Pioneer and Bremen. The Lions faithful know this is going to be a battle. Pioneer executed their system to perfection. Lions will have to pick up their level of play and catch a few breaks. I believe these seniors may have faced off with each other’s as freshmen in a jv game. Pioneer came out on top. This will be a lot of fun.
  17. Bremen and Pioneer played in the early 90’s.
  18. Good teams can out play officials mistakes.
  19. I get nervous this time of year and don't say much. I don't want to jinx anything.
  20. I paid 25 on Venmo. I didn’t realize it was 30. Hope it went through, I’m a moron with tech.
  21. At this point, I don't care if they have fans at all. Play it in an open field with just the teams, I just hope we can get it all in.
  22. I hope this is was a typo and you meant to say,"turns out to not be a super-spreader event."
  23. Local schools local control. The IHSAA wants schools to make determinations for themselves, if you make a blanket rule, it opens up the issue of enforcement, which the IHSAA doesn't really have.
