  1. Bremen has always been bounced around geographically. Sometimes we are in the Northeast, Northwest, North Central. Back in the days that was the case and the same can be said 25 years later. We have hard sectional opponents from Eastside to Whiting and as far south as Oak Hill.
  2. I didn't watch the 5a and 6a games becuase I went out for the evening. I say around during the day and watched the other games for 2 days.
  3. Post season rankings don't mean anything. The only thing that matters is being the last team standing after the playoffs. Guys who look at post season rankings, use them as a measuring contest to talk trash to their buddies. Heck, I would argue pre-season rankings matter more, because they somewhat set the pecking order for next year.
  4. This is a real possibility. I know Jimtown numbers are lowering every year. This might lead to an uptick. Interesting to see what happens.
  5. I think Glenn is the team to beat in the South this year. They return some good players, Jimtown loses talent, and Marian is moving to the North.
  6. Bremen is willing to offer a lifetime of Lehman Mints if he comes to our Good Town.
  7. I agree. I think every school has to find what works best for them. I think ND has a pretty good deal with the ACC. Is it perfect? No. However I think it is the best situation available.
  8. Playing games in Ireland and Green Bay are products of being independent. They are are in California every year, the criss cross the nation and play in almost every region of the country every 2-3 years. You have pockets of ND fans everywhere, which contributes to an alumni base that stretches across the country. Those alumni in turn, donate money for many years.
  9. Being independent is far more valuable than bowl games. Bowl games are glorified exhibitions that players are choosing to skip more and more. The only thing that matters is being in the playoff. If ND goes 12-0 they will be in the playoff. If they don't, they don't deserve to be there.
  10. I am expecting a better Bremen team next year. The only lost a handful of seniors. Replacing the Huffman kid will be tough. He was a 4 year starter, and an All-Stater. The sophomore class was leaned on a lot this year. I am looking forward to seeing them grow and develop into juniors.
  11. I don't believe Bremen's schedule changes, I do know that Mishawaka Marian is moving to the NIC North, but someone stated that they will remain on Bremen's schedule as a non-conference game.
  12. This is a prime job, but does not come without its challenges. Numbers a way down, and whoever takes it has to plug a lot of holes next year. I have faith that whoever gets it will be well vetted.
  13. Justin Beriault (spelling) I forgot what school maybe Warren Central was in a few classes with me at Ball State, had a cup of tea in Dallas before injures curtailed him.
  14. Anthony Johnson from South Bend Adams played at ND for the 88 Champs. Played for several years, ended up rushing for over 1000 yards one year in Carolina.
  15. As a Bremen fan I would want to play Pioneer, Cass, and Rensselaer. Well run programs, that would be great measuring sticks.
  16. To the West Washington Community, may you know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many Hoosiers acrossed our state. God bless you all.
  17. Some students in county schools don't have the transportation to get back and forth from practice. The bus ride is the only way to get from point a to point b. This could contribute to students opting out of participating.
  18. I think Jimtown may have something up their sleeve against Marian. This is a Senior laden Jimmie team. I think they will be looking to play spoiler.
  19. Back in the early 90's, Mishawaka Marian had an issue with their field, and I believe they played a sectional game at Bremen, when Bremen was on the road.
