  1. East Chicago Southwood BNL Peru who else?
  2. I heard it from a coach on the team.
  3. Undefeated Southwood is done because of Covid.
  4. As a Bremen fan, I hope we can get healthy and stay healthy. Would love a shot at a sectional title. I think Bremen is flying under radar this year. Think we can make some noise if things fall in our favor.
  5. Congrats to Josh Schattuck and the Elkhart Lions, well done blending two programs into one. Finished the regular season 7-0. Taking two programs and combining them is easier said than done. Other places haven't pulled that off.
  6. My yearly tradition. Best of luck to all schools, and thanks to all the Seniors who have dedicated themselves to their community, schools, and programs for all the years. Sectional Speech

  7. Indians Wildcats Cougars Knights Vikings Jimmies No clue Lions
  8. I struggle to see Eastbrook as a darkhorse, they are a top tier team in 2A, and have been for a few years. I guess I don't know the definition of dark horse, I see it as a team no one is expecting to do much.
  9. Lions Lions Kingsmen Toss-up: Leaning Jimmies Knights Toss-up: Leaning Falcons
  10. Riley Jimtown and Washington Glenn? Could be enticing games. I don’t know. Could be a surprise.
  11. I feel it is fair to criticize, but it is also fair to criticize you for being critical.
  12. This is about as PG as I could find. Psss, its a type of slug.
  13. Was excited for the game, but it is best to cautious.
  14. Change of topic. This is what the 6th year or so since the conference re-aligned. The first with out Mishawaka and first with the new Elkhart. How are the different communities feeling about everything? My personal opinion from Bremen is pretty positive and optimistic. I think some felt Bremen would be a punching bag and they were biting off more than they can chew. Aside from basketball (which has been a dumpster fire prior to the changes) the Lions have held their own in most sports. Soccer pulled off a upset of Marian, the tennis team won its first regional and face Carmel on Saturday in semi-state, the girls softball team is a state power. I am paraphrasing a lot on here with results and probably missing a lot of other accomplishments. The NIC has forced Bremen to step up its game. In the NSC conference success was a stepping stone to post season success. In the NIC, Bremen teams get challenged even more, so facing relative similar status schools isn't that difficult. The goal in any sport is to advance as far as you can, and the NIC prepares them for that. We still get to keep rivalries with Glenn and Jimtown. Those schools make Bremen better. I like having the challenges of Marian and St. Joe to measure up against. Penn is Penn, and I think the Bremen kids like to dream of David vs. Goliath upsets. I miss New Prairie on the schedule for football, but we still get to see them regularly in other sports. I respect the heck out of the people from Rolling Prairie and New Carlisle, those are good communities. I think their is budding rivalries with Riley and Washington, I don't know how those folks view us. Have their been hiccups, of course, but overall from my perspective, the conference has been a huge positive for Bremen. What is everyone else's takes on the NIC?
  15. I gotta ask, who was that against?
  16. You probably right, but crazy things happen. Was it 2011 when Andrean was stacked, and they ran into a Wheeler team that took advantage of a handful of turnovers and pulled off the upset.
  17. Bremen has injuries but are getting healthy. Would love to see a certain skill player get back before sectionals.
  18. NP is down as well. I gotta believe Penn will take care of them.
  19. If it was academic reasons, privacy laws would not allow for the school to release that information.
  20. What does South Bend have in place for a youth program? Start with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Then lay a stronger foundation in junior high. Try to get families to buy in at younger ages. I don't know the answer but you have to get the community to buy in.
