    I remember that now. I recall Larry Davis, was at that Carmel game. I remember it had a delay for storms and If I recall correctly Carmel came out of that delay and took control of the game. Did Larry Davis play college ball anywhere? I recall him being pretty good.

    Only Snider back that I believe went to IU was Vaughn Dunbar. think he was there in 1990 & 1991? He would have graduated Snider in 1988??

    School City of Mishawaka is a pretty confined school district. My wife is a teacher in SCM, elementary, middle school kids walk to the neighbor school, and high school will walk, take city bus, parents or drive themselves. They do have 6-8 buses for transpo of athletic teams and other school functions.

    Yep, if you are a "club sport" you can go anywhere you want. I've experienced that when my girls where playing Rugby

    It was a bit on the sarcasm side. The area has changed for sure, but definitely not a "white flight" area for sure. Can I still say that??

    Yep, the State Street and Maplecrest corridor has definitely turned into a ghetto. Way different from I was running those streets in the 70's & early 80's.

    Yep, just like the SAC in future. I'm betting most are already committed for next few years. I know that Penn usually play two teams a year from Duneland. It would be a good haul from a Merrillville vs Snider game or any of those western DAC teams to travel to FWA and likewise for a return. US 30 is a bad ride, esp in a cheese box. Maybe do a weekend showcase of games at ND. That would be fun??

    I was just adding thoughts if that happened don't really care one way or the other. I may see it 5-10 years from now but the logistics for the country club sports could be hard. Teams do travel 40 miles or so in other conference setups I believe?

    IMO, would need another team; Leo, East Noble, New Haven, Huntington North??

    Could be reason why Snider and WC have game to begin 2023 season?

    I went to the Snider & Portage game, that loss was a tough one to stomach.

    I guess we all know that the SAC is the 3rd or 4th best football conference in state? I would think they can prove that on the field. I know they will not match the MIC, but hope they can be decent vs the HCC. Can the Duneland be considered the 3rd best in state over the SAC? Does the SIAC have a claim for the 4th spot, probably not at this point. Just hope the SAC can hold its own.

    Not what I was hoping to see. Not knocking EN, really I'm not, but outside of 2019, they are a good/average team at best.

    I would think the SAC could tap into some Ohio teams for games; Toledo, Columbus area or even Dayton & Akron/Cleveland area.

    I think the other teams in the big school division would disagree with you. Luers will have the opportunity most years to play that big school for the title, so what you whining about?

    Would/could the travel rule(s) for Indiana hIgh schools ever be changed? What would happen if a school such as CG, Cathedral, Warren, etc said the heck with the rule, I'll schedule teams anywhere I want?

    I would agree, think it also starts with a good QB that can stay on field all year long. So the other top item needed is a good O line, protect QB and sets up good running game.
