  1. Never said they were having great success. Numbers are good with multiple sport athletes at all grade levels. Good size kids- as seen by the frosh listed on max preps with a 7th grade QB that can sling it. Nice 8th grade RB- son of Memorial great, Randall Baker. Reminds me very much of the 2017, 2018, and 19 classes. Couldn’t tell you the record of any of the feeder teams. I’d bet most Memorial feeder teams are around or below .500 most years. Then high school comes along and something just clicks when different age groups combine. Hard to argue the success across the board come tournament time. But I’m biased.
  2. 23 to 25 plus one playing only varsity OL. I think the JV team was going to be short kids for JV so Memorial has moved freshman up to play the JV schedule a few weeks. I don’t see 2 freshman listed that came out after school started on maxpreps.
  3. Come out and watch 7th thru 9th grade teams play. Lol. Freshmen class best group I’ve seen in years at Memorial and 7th grade just as good. Future is extremely bright in cake-eaterville. Funny thing....last year was supposed to be the last year of relevance.
  4. even though these are done randomly with confidentiality the code of conduct applies. Nicotine is included in the test.
  5. PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2019] Reitz Memorial (Evansville, IN) 35, [2019] Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) 21
  6. Castle Memorial MD Reitz When is the last time MD was only a 1 point favorite over North and Harrison the favorite over Reitz?
  7. Just pointing out the obvious. Sorry to offend you. Those courier people....Shame on them!!
  8. I think they figured out they were playing the JV team in the 3rd quarter and JV backups with several freshmen in the 4th quarter. Scoring 20 points all in the 4th. I think they figured something out vs Southridge and it carried over to Boonville.
  9. North Memorial Central ( expect Central to play their best game to date. Addition by subtraction.) Castle
  10. 35-0 over Boonville was huge win and an upset. Boonville was pretty much penciled in as B-8 champs after Vincennes W. I think we see why Boonville wanted nothing to do with SIAC based on sectional game vs Bosse and the game vs Jasper Friday night.
  11. North ended up around 250 yards of total offense. 3 plays totaled 160 yards of that. Defense was pretty good the other 37 plays. North is a big play team. Penalties hurt both teams. Memorial will have to clean that up just to stay in the game vs MD.
  12. That’s been their mojo all year. If North could put together 8-10 play drives and throw the ball they would be a tough out. Always in scoring range!, Crazy to think North only had 2 1st downs in 2nd half.
  13. Combs , Johnson, and Jones are all 3 very physical upfront. Those 3 dominated upfront last year. Best defensive unit in SW Indiana
  14. Memorial will be the bigger more physical team on the field. The question will be can North’s OL handle Memorial’s big fast physical defense.
  15. I’ve always heard SOS didn’t mean much.....JK. Congrats and what a great schedule. HH and Boonville need to follow suit. Congrats to the parents and fans. It’s nice not looking at most opponents and being able to name the score. New Pac looks nice with flexibility
  16. Just the function of a much better football team. I think Memorial D’s was tired of hearing they couldn’t stop the Trojans offense. Especially after how well Chatard played vs Winston Woods from Ohio. Chatard is the class of 3A football. Shocked Memorial has won the 3 semi state meetings so convincingly. Chatard looks like the favorite in 3A again. Just don’t underestimate the winner from sectional 32. A really really good football team will be represented SW Indiana in 3A.
  17. Hard to imagine Central only averages 67 yards rushing per game.
  18. I move Schutte back to RB. Kid is a tough physical runner.
  19. Sounds as if Central will be starting a different QB this Friday. OL has struggled creating lanes for their athletes.
  20. Nothing but respect for Jasper athletics and their accomplishments.
  21. I think a win over Jasper in any sport is a good win. JMO. Can’t think of 1 team that wouldn’t be 1-1 or 0-2 after Jasper’s 1st two opponents. And it’s nice to find out where you are as a team moving forward.
  22. I don’t see much difference in last year and this year for Memorial. Offense is sharp and defense sets the tone. I guess offensively it’s more about 5 or 6 guys getting it done instead of 2 or 3. More of a run 1st team. Defense is as good if not better. I thought it was great how many people told Memorial good luck with 4A- as if there’s no way they could compete. I guess that’s why they suit up and play. IMO after two weeks MD and Memorial have stood out.
