  1. Spray that stuff on hands, arms, jersey, helmet, pants ... anything on a receiver that might directly or indirect come in contact with a ball. Also worked well to bring down wasps and on fire ant piles too. Not a big fan of the GSTs either.
  2. It's when Tom Brady preps them that it often presents an issue.
  3. I dare you to come say that to my face! I gotta go.
  4. This is what the Hoosier Conference looks like. Gives each team a chance to schedule a couple of outside games, rivalry games, etc.
  5. LCC vs. Seeger in Sectional 37. Despite hailing from Lafayette, LCC was placed in 2A South due to their 2A Success Factor movement. LCC and Seeger last met in 1A back in 2006 when the Brian Moore-led Patriots beat the Knights in the second game of sectionals 30-22. Shortly after, Seeger grew into 2A. If LCC makes it out of Sectional 37, potential match-ups with ghosts of football seasons past could see LCC squaring off against against former 1A foes, Eastern Hancock and LOS opponent, Scecina, and 2A former regular season opponent, Heritage Christian. If the stars align correctly, there could be a re-match of LCC-Linton who last met in 1A at LOS in 2015. With that conjectured, there's PLENTY more football and LOTS of star-aligning that has to take place for these to happen. That always ends up in the Sectional of Death. The only thing missing this season is that Chatard's sitting up in 4A this season
  6. Jeff beating Richmond 70-0 isn't that much of an indicator. The past seasons Jeff's beat Richmond 77-6, 54-12, 44-6, and 63-6. In those four seasons. Richmond finished those seasons, respectively, 1-8, 4-6, 2-9, 0-10. Richmond, currently at 1-6, lost to Muncie Central 16-8 and Muncie Central lost to Anderson 36-0 and Tech 56-28. Jeff's biggest win to-date would probably be the win over Kokomo 34-14. Will have a better feel for that after next week when Kokomo faces Harrison. At 6-1, Kokomo's defining win is either 28-14 over 4A Western or, perhaps, last nights 28-14 win over 4A Logansport. My gut says Western is probably the more signature of those wins, although from a conference perspective, the Logansport victory is more important to Kokomo who needs to beat Harrison next week to force a three-way tie between Harrison, Jeff, and Kokomo for 1st place in the NCC.
  7. West Lafayette 42-0 over Cass ... Final. LCC 63-7 over Twin Lakes. Final.
  8. Harrison scores on opening offensive play of second half after Hammond Central attempts an onsides kick. Hammond Central responds with a score of its own. 44-14 Harrison.
  9. LCC up 63-0 over Twin Lakes with time almost done in 3Q. Defense with a couple scores tonight ... pick 6 and a scoop and score.
  10. Hammond Central, with 4th and goal from the Harrison 22, lines up for a field goal, but fakes it and passes for a TD. PAT is good. 37-7 Harrison at the half.
  11. LCC leads Twin Lakes at the half 49-0. Harrison leads Hammond Central 30-0 at end of 1Q.
  12. Harrison is scheduled to play Kokomo in Week 8 and Richmond in Week 9. Their website is now showing Hammond Central as their opponent for 10/1 (and parents have been sent e-mail looking for folks to take tickets and man concessions for a home game ... the original game against McCutcheon was supposed to be an away game, not a home game). https://www.harrisonathletics.com/sports/fball/index
  13. Would be an interesting match-up with Eastbrook. I think, at this point, Harrison's happy to be playing somebody as opposed to sitting home Friday night. They were originally scheduled to play cross-town, sister-school, McCutcheon for "The Sword."
  14. Heard from my son, who plays for Harrison, that Harrison will now play Hammond Central at Harrison. Glad these guys could get together. Don't know if HC has a JV, but I hope Harrison can get a JV opponent too. JV's sitting on a one-loss season and only lost to Westfield by a single point.
  15. Is Anderson quarantined or struggling on numbers? Tech's coming off an exciting last-minute win over McCutcheon last week. Not sure of depth, but might be a more exciting game for Tech ... albeit Anderson might have been more likely to be a win.
  16. Good thing it wasn't the Clinton Prairie Gophers. In addition to being messy, it would just be downright cruel pelting a bus with live gophers. 😀 Don't forget to tip your waiter!
  17. It's that weekend already? Man, the season has gone by quickly.
  18. 3 POINT GAMES Hamilton Heights @ Tipton Central Catholic @ Twin Lakes Rensselaer @ Benton Central West Lafayette @ Cass Western @ Northwestern North Newton @ Delphi Sheridan @ Seeger Logansport @ Kokomo Frontier @ Tri-County North White @ South Newton
  19. Love the sportscaster ... "Get your big butt outta here."
  20. Which one's most likely to get you a date in the parking lot after the game with the fan who had a couple before the game and brought in his own flask?
  21. That's probably Rule #1 in most DC's handbooks. 😀
