Admittedly, I was not that optimistic of a full season. You may choose to think of me as a Donnie Downer/Gloomy Gipper, but I think more of myself as a concerned father, citizen, and not to mention one hell of a model American. But the fact that two MLB teams have had not just one or two players, but rather nearly the whole team come down with the thing, leads me to believe we probably shouldn’t press forward. I don’t see it as locking the kids up, but rather giving them hopes for a better future.

As long as he doesn’t follow Illinois.

Bear in mind we have a lot bigger population than Italy and Canada.

I agree. We’re not doctors, epidemiologists, scientists (although it would be very cool to say “Back off, man! I’m a SCIENTIST!!!), but just football fans. We can immerse ourselves in any type of journal, research, etc., but it’s meaningless. The State of Indiana has much more qualified people.

The zoos I frequent are Lincoln Park and Brookfield. Although I have been to the zoos in Ft. Wayne and Indy, they are not as close to where I live.

Spot on. Attendance, if there is indeed a season, needs to be seriously restricted and controlled. Temperature checks should be conducted at the gate is the first thing that needs to be done. Social distancing in the stands is another.

Tri-Township School Corporation in Wanatah (near Valparaiso) will be e-learning until further notice. I don’t think TTSC has a football team.

I believe they are, I don’t think it’s set in stone. This is only my first so I’ll keep you posted, although the Post-Tribune could also be a good resource.

Just reporting what I saw. I’m not saying if it’s right or wrong as I truly do not know that answer, just like everyone else.

Lake Central, the largest high school in the region, has announced that school administrators have recommended e-learning should start the year off for the duration of one month. With that all, extra-curricular activities (I believe athletics is one) will be suspended during that time. Will there be a domino effect? By the way, this decision was based on scientific research, not just giving kids “something to do”.

How ironic. That was the irony I was previously referring to.
