  1. And I have a world of respect for LCC. They just don't seem to be the same team since Kevin O'shea left.
  2. I too was thinking 6a is a crapshoot this year. If a non MIC/HCC team were to win, this would be the year.
  3. The game was close because Notre Dame proved that they are, at a minimum, just as good as Georgia. If I'm the Bulldogs, I don't want to play Notre Dame on a neutral field. Crowd noise was a factor and the cause of Notre Dame's self inflicted wounds. Not sure you and I watched the same game. Georgia loses to Notre Dame on a neutral field. They were lucky Notre Dame didn't beat them in Athens. For all the Notre Dame haters (just one on this thread that I can see), get used to Notre Dame being part of the playoff conversation as long as Brian Kelly is their coach. Not many coaches in the country could accomplish what he has with the academic standards the university has for it's athletes. At the end of the day, Notre Dame is a top five program............and that is just eating away at the haters. 1st Tier: Alabama and Clemson 2nd Tier: Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame Notre Dame will always be in the limelight. Will always be part of the playoff conversation. Will always be the team everyone wants to play and beat (record crowds when the Irish come to town). And will always compete with the country's best on a national stage.
  4. Just another liberal college professor for ya. Career educators, no real world experience.
  5. 1. Ohio State 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Clemson 5. Georgia 6. Notre Dame 7. LSU 8. Auburn 9. Wisconsin 10. Penn State
  6. 6A - Homestead 5A - New Pal 4A - Mooresville 3a - Chatard 2A - Pioneer 1A - South Adams
  7. Not much confidence in the best team South Adam's has ever fielded? I've seen lot's of football, no need to educate me on the difference between a big school and a small one. I understand that West Lafayette hung with a good 6a team. Kudos to them. South Adams is playing at a quality 3a level. In fact they would probably be a top ten 3a team this year. My opinion stands............WL over SA by 21.
  8. Just because WL humiliated LCC doesn't mean they'd do the same to SA................and they wouldn't do the same to SA. South Adams is a minimum 14 pts better than LCC. West Lafayette would probably be a 21-24 point favorite over South Adams.
  9. Better than 50-0. Much better actually. South Adams is the team to beat up north.
  10. Lol, would never bet the ranch against the Greyhounds...............great program.
  11. If Carmel's weakness is their secondary, they won't get past regionals.
  12. You stated that you don't "understand" what pound for pound means...........................just trying to educate you...........................dude. I chimed in because I'm sick of hearing about how pathetic 1A teams are and how they can't compete with higher class programs. What other choice do smaller schools have than to claim pound for pound when schools of 3000+ are thumping their chest claiming "we're the greatest?"
  13. Here, since you are struggling a bit, maybe this will help. Imagine Avon or Center Grove with Carmel's enrollment. There ya go.
  14. You need to get out of this state of denial that you are living in.
  15. Seriously? You don't know what that means? Let's play pretend for a minute. Imagine programs like New Pal, Columbus East, Snider, Valparaiso, Pioneer, South Adams and Adams Central having enrollments of 3000 to work with. Scary thought, right?
  16. Center Grove in the Top 15 is debatable given their strength of schedule. But with a 1-4 record, I'm certainly not going to crucify someone for not including them in their Top 15. South Adams on the other hand? They are 5-0. They could run the table and make a claim that they are the best team in the state of Indiana regardless of class. And no one can argue against that because it will never be decided on the football field. Then the Center Grove marching band could pitch a shutout against over 200 other other teams as well.
  17. Enrollment is the bigger factor. A good coach can take a large enrollment and run it to a state championship if done properly. A good coach can get the best athletes out to the football field. A good coach gets the entire student body excited about football. Bottom line..........................Large Enrollment + Low Participation = Coach Not Doing His Job. Show me a coach who disagrees with this and I will show you a coach who points fingers at everyone else but himself.
  18. Last 10 games dating back to last year. 646-29. Why the sharp decline after Patrick Parks?
  19. And you've been to how many Homestead games? Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Clemson, Alabama, USC, Oregon, Auburn, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma...................just to name a few.
