  1. C'mon Rodney. Even you can appreciate Adams Central vs Lutheran.
  2. Then proceed to enjoy the next three quarters of the 1A game?
  3. I guess you could always stand in line beforehand. Get in line 45 minutes before kickoff though. Otherwise you might miss the kickoff.
  4. I just don't see it. I'll give EC the win, but that's about it. Westfield isn't laying down for anyone.
  5. Don't do that Rodney. I like you enough that I don't want to see you homeless.
  6. I know nothing about North Posey. But I'm not betting against Luers. I think the Knight's are tired of hearing "we're not" or "we can't."
  7. Agree. Northeast Indiana has representation with Carroll. The Region now has Crown Point. I'd say now we need Southern Indiana to get on board, but I'm not sure they have any 6A programs.
  8. I'm one of the only posters on this site that believes you. I think there was a bit of shock factor for you though when Carroll took out HSE and CP took out Westfield. Crown Point keeps making strides under Buzea. Making it to Lucas is another one. No shame in losing to Ben Davis. But something tells me they're there to win.
  9. Opinion respected. East Central is good. I wouldn't be surprised by that. I've got Crown Point by a field goal.
  10. Snider was a damn good team last year Rodney. I'm not sure a team of GID members could beat Blackhawk Christian.
  11. I'm not stupid Bob, I know Moeller is good. I honestly know nothing about Harrison (OH). But I do know every other team on their schedule is either 4A or 5A. Everyone else can dub them #1. I stand at #5. I'll say it now. If they beat Northwood by 42+, I'll bump them up. You're braver than I am. That's why I like you Komets.
  12. Why such a weak take? Fans were holding New Pal in the exact same regard back in 2015. I'm sorry, but playing a bunch of 3A and 4A teams, outside of a four loss Moeller team, doesn't propel East Central above Ben Davis, Center Grove, and Brownsburg. It's not gonna happen. You can "think" and "believe" all you want. But no one will ever know the answer. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Why do I think East Central is 5th? I'm using Rodney's patented "this team is better than that one" method. 1. Ben Davis 2. Brownsburg 3. Center Grove 4. Crown Point 5. East Central Not sure why I'm under attack here. Wow. I think that's a compliment to 4A East Central.
  13. It's hard to ignore the kind of passion Eric Moore puts into his program. I think he's paid handsomely to do that. Regardless, he's done a very good job. Kudos to him.
  14. BTF Holtz is rolling with the Panthers this time. When they bring their A game, they're hard to beat.
  15. I think you and Komets are on the same brain wave. Same thread within three minutes of one another.
  16. Close = A game where the outcome isn't decided until late 3rd quarter or sometime thereafter. Folks, meaning those wanting a northern 6A team to do well? "Folks" up north, in class 6A specifically, haven't seen a large enrollment school with a proven coaching staff like Buzea whose 'been there done that.' I think that could be the difference. Look, I get it. Ben Davis is good. They were waxing Center Grove at one point in the game before allowing them back in it. Would I be surprised if Ben Davis beat Crown Point by four touchdowns? Yes. Three? No. But honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Crown Point won the whole thing. Early prediction: Close game until the fourth. Giants by 14.
  17. The current players haven't been to a state championship, but the culture of the program knowing that teams of the past have "been there done that," in my opinion, is an emotional advantage that Ben Davis has over Crown Point. Also, is it safe to say Ben Davis players have played at Lucas Oil? Maybe a regular season game? Also, I think playing a team like IMG gives Ben Davis that "we've already been in a big game" advantage. Agree, Crown Point's schedule doesn't compare to that of Ben Davis. But they have shown up when it counts. They wasted a good Merrillville team. Yes, the Pirates are good. They took out a really good Penn team. And looked even better in the way they handled Westfield. It would be dangerous for Ben Davis not to play one of their best games of the season. I'm not sold the Giants will be a buzzsaw. I'm expecting a close game. I'll eat crow Sunday morning if I'm wrong.
  18. I feel like anytime a first year team is going up against a team that's been there, the awe factor gets in the way. So definitely advantage Ben Davis. I think in a normal outdoor setting, the CG/Carroll game last year is a closer score. Same winner and loser, just a smaller margin of victory. I honestly haven't doubted Crown Point at all. What separates most programs is the coaching. And Craig Buzea can coach. I've never been to Crown Point, but from what I'm hearing, it's a strong community. Couple that with great coaching and you have championship caliber program. I really didn't think they'd dominate Westfield the way they did, I have to admit. They dominated the Rocks from the beginning and had them playing catchup the entire time. That alone tells me that the Giants better not sleep on this team...........I don't think they will.
  19. I don't think it's fair to give them that designation with the schedule they play. Sure, the Moeller game was an eye opener. But there's something to be said for the absolute grind that Ben Davis, Brownsburg, and Center Grove go through every year. I currently have East Central at #5. I hope East Central fans don't take that the wrong way as I think it's one hell of a compliment for a 4A program.
  20. I honestly didn't think you thought the gap between BD/CG/Brownsburg and HSE/Westfield was that big.
