Should the PAC have a traveling trophy to keep conference significance between all teams? Let's say Gibson Southern has it now... The next team to beat them gets it, etc... Gibson Southern's first defense would be versus Washington on Sept. 2, then at Southridge on Sept 16. I realize you could also try to compare the teams, but really only if the winner of the big and small divisions played each other during that season. John Harrell has done this for high school basketball with a Mythical Traveling Trophy Game for more than 15 years (much larger sample size) -- an attempt to connect all teams since class basketball began (25 years ago, now...). Bigger pool, but ironically Jasper holds it.

Right! Didn't anyone play NCAA Football 2014 before it went away. It was almost impossible to become one of the Top 3 programs with territory over Indiana (as I recall). I'm glad to see the game coming back next year. Good times.

Waiting for Mount Vernon (Posey) or South Spencer to make it... Although, both are now more accessible with I-69 and US-231. Some debate about which school is actually further south... If I recall the MV school district goes more southern than South Spencer, but the high school Reo is more southern than Mount Vernon.

It is a topic worthy of discussion with NIL. Perhaps (:cough:) someone more experienced with broadcasting should start a thread?!?!?

Ask Mater Dei. I know how well Mater Dei used to travel on Friday nights (even during the sectional), but I honestly don't know how a very good 2A/3A established program like the Wildcats have been travelling. I only bring up Coach Goebel's squad because they often must play Saturday games during the tournament because of their geography and lack of (sharing...) a homefield.

You're competing on Saturdays in some very competitive college football timeslots and markets.

I'm sure it has happened with uniforms in basketball or baseball. The home team usually has agreed to switch to an alternative top. Might not be so easy in football with the white/light hue percentage requirements.

Personal disagreements aside, how has the success factor impacted the gridiron -- as a whole -- in Indiana since its implementation: Positively, negatively, no change?

I guess Clayton never made us swim though... he did enjoy watching dam runs at Lincoln Park or in CLV during "senior conditioning."

HH has gone through class size fluctuations. I believe that Southridge is one of the few PAC schools with consistently growing class sizes.

Been there! Sophomore through junior seasons ended by Chatard in tough semistate games. Only losses, including beating 4A state champion Jasper in 2001. A year after that three year skid, Heritage Hills squeaked by the Trojans only to fall to a very good Andrean team.

This. I'd argue that the coaches seeding has to be public, though. And to avoid the match-up game, only seed the best four, put No. 1 and 2 on opposite ends of the bracket, then randomly draw the opponents from the bottom half of the sectional.

Tyler Lemen was a few grades younger than me. If I see him, I'll bring it up. I think they just rely so much on social media and email now.
