  1. Can someone post the video link or where it will be? WAXL (Santa Claus, Rockport) 103.3 the Fix with @Bcaster and Mr. Everything Michael Crews will be WAXL.us
  2. No excuses. Mater Dei was outplayed bravo. The two things can be mutually exclusive and both be true. There's no logical fallacy in stating the obvious.
  3. And the home team set the game for 11 am Central time... Yeah yeah Girls sports in the evening a 2 pm kickoff would've been much more realistic... HH is playing at Lawrenceburg at 6 tonight.
  4. How? They are in the Central time zone... Meaning they don't get out of school until 4 pm Fairland time.
  5. I'll make a TGD donation for 2021 for the first Patriot tailgater/fan to post a photo with a Clown or anyone from Stinkburg.
  6. Tough break. Mater Dei really developed as a team this year. Would love to see this at the Bowl if the tables were turned, but I'm sure Coach Goebel will make no excuses while talking to the media and praise his opponent. The IHSAA is so concerned about out of state travel, but doesn't seem to care too much about tournament travel especially involving P/P schools.
  7. Wow. I've never heard of this in football. In wrestling you'll get some really early tournaments, but geez. 5:30?
  8. Is the Happe any relation to the Clint Happe who played RB and LB for Memorial in the mid 00s? He was a pretty good wrestler too.
  9. Very unlike a Goebel coached squad. Fortunate to only be down 6. Still time for the Cats.
  10. The population of Morgan County is tricky given 40,000 or so are students. Then the county line is so close to Greene and Brown counties, most of the growth I saw was on the west side close to the Greene County line along I-69/SR-37. My observation visiting last year. I think eventually Southside Indy sprawl will reach Martinsville and then Bloomington. (Yes I know the sprawl comments were in jest)
  11. When Andrean was in 3A were they playing with a 1A or 2A enrollment? Sorry to sidetrack the thread... How many points would Memorial now need to be 5A now? Such a shame they are now disconnected with teams like Gibson Southern and Heritage Hills.
  12. I believe this is the furthest south Mount Vernon has ever been. In 2003 they played at HH in Week 1. TA was a line coach. I believe they came on a Friday.
  13. Y'all are probably Bengals and Reds fans too. May God help the lost souls of suburban Nattown.
  14. And if you don't want to hear the train horn running over the tiger, then stop the train. It's hard to find though! Game day.
  15. Lots of respect for the Alices and anyone Jasper hates. Keep the good times rolling and let's see another possible HH - VL matchup for old times sake.
  16. What happened to Jasper 2002 graduate Brian Lewis (All State RB, last class Jerry Brewer coached) after he turned Evansville Harrison around for a few years. Is he only teaching now or on the staff as an assistant someplace?
  17. Actually sounds very similar to The Jungle at Heritage Hills. The field is situated in a valley between a creek lined by trees (jungle) and the home sideline sits about 50 feet lower than the school and parking lot. Fans encircle the field to create a real sense of being surrounded. I wish they'd move that silly track though. FYI, the real pit in Southern Indiana is the Pit in Mount Carmel, Ill. (Not a typo, it's one of the most unique venues in the country for HS football.)
  18. IrishLineMomma sighting? I have to admit when I was working at the Bloomington H-T, I took an early lunch to join the Cathedral tailgate at BHSS in 2014 for some great brauts! Good times, but someone had to get back to the desk. Good luck to both teams. Big night for our own @crimsonace1
  19. Mater Dei does what it does and will play mistake free football while capitalizing on mistakes. 24-17 Mater Dei.
  20. Best of luck luck to Memorial. Let's see three SW Indiana teams at Lucas Oil in two weeks. I'll take the Tigers 28-24.
  21. Heritage Hills has also seen one of the best sophomore quarterbacks, according to the scouting services. A scrambling QB *HAS* always been HH's kryptonite. Most recently Tri-West, but going back to Memorial and Andrean in the 00's. People ask why I bring up the history. While HH is using different schemes and has brought in new coaching blood, the heart of HH's coaching staff is the same. There have been definite improvements in HH's secondary and other coaches have commented this year on how good the HH LB's are. I expect HH to get some early pressure on the L-Burg QB with some various blitzes and stunts, perhaps some zone blitzes. After that we'll see if L-Burg can get the HH offense off the field. Hey do I smell Page 10 or is that just Stinktown?
  22. Game Day. Fourty eight teams will be down to 24 after this weekend. Whose getting some brass to add to that sectional trophy? As always, post your scores and updates here or tweet them @gridirondigest
