Congratulations to Brownsburg. I was on PA tonight, and we all said that BD had to keep its foot on the gas because we knew it wasn't over. We'd all seen too many Brownsburg/BD games where it was BD making the hair-on-fire comeback. The Bulldogs did it tonight. They'll have their hands full with Lawrence North next week. Should be a great one.

Also, as a side note, I was very prominently dressed in BD garb. I made sure to congratulate every Brownsburg player I saw leaving, and one young man even stopped to thank the man holding the gate for them. All the kids were very classy. Extremely impressive impression from me. They weren't going crazy or acting like they'd just won the State Championship. They celebrated. Their fans were amazing, and they deserved the title in the end.

Great post.  As another poster insinuated, maybe this was what Brownsburg needed to turn the corner.

At least that’s how I would be selling it in the locker room.

Time will tell.

I felt like Ben Davis had gone as far as they could go, so when they were up 35-7, I was pleasantly surprised. I picked them, but I knew it was a longshot. They kind of let off the gas and then it just snowballed. Brownsburg is really capable of making big snowballs if you let them, and the Giants were just as discombobulated in the second half as they were all season. Can't let a team like Brownsburg have any oxygen when you have them down.

So, tough question if I may ask.

In your unbiased opinion more so, did BD blow it or did Brownsburg earn it?

Gotta pick one.

Letting them score quickly really hurt the Giants to start the second half. I think that's where everything went sideways. I think the Giants had them where they wanted them, but Brownsburg definitely earned it. They were in complete control in the second half. BD had no answers.

Snider beat Elkhart because they were the better team. Tonight they held Sullivan in check without Logan. The difference in the game was Snider's three turnovers at the Carroll 1, 20, and 30.

Lol.

Three turnovers that typically wouldn't happen with a Snider team..Dinan took it easy as the game could have gotten outta hand quickly..id be surprised if they stay within 13 of cp though.not enough speed for 6a..to not just compete the talent can't be walking the hallways especially with 5a enrollment..

Dinan doesn't take it easy. Snider's D utterly dominated Carroll in the second half. Kudos to Dinan though, he made the necessary adjustments to put the game away with that final touchdown.

Yes, Crown Point over Carroll by 13+. And yes, 6A is won in the trenches. Hard to do with a 5A enrollment.

Ben Davis 35, Brownsburg 7 at halftime.  I can't believe this is happening to Brownsburg again.  I thought Brownsburg would at least beat Ben Davis before losing to the Cathedral/LN winner.  Something has to change in the Brownsburg program if they ever wanna reach their postseason goals.

This post did not age well.
