Crown Point @ Westfield:  A poster on here insinuated that I never admit I am wrong so here goes.  I was EXTREMELY impressed by Crown Point on Friday night as I caught parts of their game against Carroll.  I still place them as the longest odds to win the title, but I have one foot on board and give them much more of a chance than I did all fall.  I think that Westfield is the most complete team left and actually boasts a win AT Center Grove and had a near loss at Brownsburg.  I am not a big "revenge game" kind of guy but I do believe Westfield has some added motivation after their comeback bid fell short in the region last year.  They get the game at their place this year, which I think makes a difference.  Westfield to LOS.  30-24.

Brownsburg @ Center Grove:  A couple fellow posters have dropped the "team of destiny"/"over the hump" mantra when it comes to Brownsburg this year.  Their ability to dig out of early deficits and come back in win is commendable.  For stretches of their contest against LN last week, it seemed that neither team wanted to win the game as both turned the ball over multiple times but in the end, LN's penalties and Brownsburg's execution made the difference.  Don't get me wrong, I think Brownsburg is a more complete team than Center Grove but this one is on the southside and you're giving me Eric Moore?  Brownsburg can't get behind early again.  Gotta go CG here.  Trojans win 23-20.

Westfield 31 - Crown Point 21, I just believe that Westfield is the more complete team and has played a much more difficult schedule than CP. Kudos to CP, the rise over the last couple years is impressive and they are on the cusp of breaking through, but their schedule is trash. Something they need to address over the next couple years. Anyways, Westfield will have success passing the ball against the CP defense and will get enough stops to win the game.

Brownsburg 21 - Center Grove 17, After  winning against BD and LN, I am one of those posters who now believes this is a team of destiny. I don’t like picking against CG as they are the standard in 6A football over the last several years, but sometimes a team is just on a magical run

Crown Point is the best team in the state of Indiana. And that includes Lawrence North. Crown Point 24-14.

Center Grove is on a roll. They beat Jeffersonville, Franklin Central, and Warren Central. Now they're the greatest thing since sliced bread? Not buying it. Brownsburg 28-17.

Chatard/New Pal was a coin toss, someone was going to be right and someone was going to be wrong. Contrats on guessing the flip of the coin. You'll defer to me moving forward after Friday night.

I never said New Pal wasn't a good team. I said they're not one of the best ten teams in the state. I stand by that. I think CP would running clock them. No disrespect. I still think the Dragons might be the best pound for pound program in the state. It's just that........they're 4A.

No, 6A is a beast, sorry. That shouldn't take much to convince you, I mean, you do believe in transitive property. You know what I'm talking about. Could the Knights be much better now than they were the first couple of weeks? Sure. But damn, 6A is a different monster.

Mmmmmm...be careful.

Center Grove was a 6A runner up losing to Carmel 20-17 in 2019.  During the regular season, New Pal beat the Trojans 28-9.

In 2018, Center Grove made it to the 6A semi-state losing to undefeated state champion Warren Central 27-20.  Earlier in the regular season, New Pal beat Center Grove 31-9.

CP would not running clock New Pal.

I think if Brownsburg is playing up to its potential that it is going to be tough to beat them. That's an if though...and Center Grove just knows how to do this at this point. They're here every year, and their kids expect it. Experience. It's not new.

Crown Point and Westfield is a toss-up game I think. I agree.

Crown Point and Westfield is a toss-up game I think. I agree.

"If Brownsburg is playing up to its potential FOR 4 QUARTERS, I agree."  They haven't done that recently.  Can't fall behind CG like they did BD/LN in my opinion.

So HSE winning at Carroll 45-21 was not manhandling them, but CP winning at home over Carroll by 38-21 is manhandling them?

I don't know that you can really even make comparisons. HSE beat Carroll 45-21, but the Center Grove vs Carroll game was called at halftime 28-14 due to a storm that actually flipped bleachers over into the goalpost. Not to mention Carroll played HSE in week 1, CG in week 2, and Crown Point in week 13 game 12 can be a lot of differences be it good or bad.

I would say HSE definitely did a good job of dominating Carroll
