Ok.  Then yes, I support the privatization of "preparatory schools" in Indiana.  Thought it will probably take an amendment to the Indiana State Constitution and it's pesky Article 8 to completely get government out of the K-12 educations business.

Dumb question for everyone, and this seemed like the best spot to pose it.  When did the regular season go to eight games?  I thought it was just a scheduling fluke for Chatard this year, but it looks like everyone only played eight games?

Most played 9....Providence had a bye week 6 I believe. NJ played all 9 weeks.

Some teams just can't find opponents certain weeks

Four of the 5A and lower teams had a bye week.  Is this preferred now? I've always heard about the scheduling problems, but wouldn't some of these teams solve each others scheduling problems?  I don't remember ever seeing that many.

Recall that there was also that really weird weather week around the 2nd/3rd week of the season where plenty of games were started, but never finished.  The vast majority of those were erased from schedules like they were never even scheduled.  I think it was the weekend of August 30.

The dumbest comment I hear from those in favor of the success factor is when people say it allows for more kids to win a title im order to be “fair”to the kids who should have a chance to get to State too.
However, it completely discounts the kids who are in (the private OR public)school right after the State teams have won and are gone.  They have worked their ass cheeks off for years as well but in many cases wont get a shot because other classes before them were good too.
Oh and by the way, if you’re a HUGE 6A school and win 4 in a row I guess that’s not an issue to the other public schools because I’m assuming they’re a public school and it’s really not about kids winning too much.  To them it’s actually ONLY Private school kids winning too much.
Having said that, private schools will figure out a way to win in higher classes bc that’s what they do.  And when that happens, the separate tourney BS will REALLY start getting loud.
