At least we agree on Warsaw.

The Dwenger/East Noble winner will go to state. Take it to the bank.

Bad take my man. No way that is happening. Not sure either team wins that sectional to boot

Yeah after giving up 3 touchdowns to portage merrillville should definitely move up 🙄

I can see Merrillville running the rest of there schedule with ease. With maybe a small challenge from The wolves this week. Merrillville shouldn’t have another competitive game till regional/semistate depending on how city and valpo show up over next 3 weeks.

we will have 5 NWI teams make semistate this year

Let's see:  Crown Point, Merrillville, Andrean, and Knox makes 4, I have Hobart winning their sectional but losing to Mishawaka in the regional, and then a coin flip between North Judson and Carroll (Flora) in the regional.  So, over/under 4.5 teams from NWI in semistate?

Leo and Columbia City are both in that sectional. I would certainly put Leo with East Noble and Dwenger and Columbia City is usually good as well. Leo plays East Noble in the next couple weeks so that will give better gauge

Huntington North 21, Columbia City 14

East Noble 38, Huntington North 0

Columbia won't be a factor at all.

Leo's a good football team. We'll see what they are made of Friday when they play East Noble. I'll roll with the Knights by two touchdowns.

Transitive scores mean squat. DeKalb lost to Angola by 8 points, Angola lost to West Noble by 14 points and we can go on and on. Leo is a good football team that has generally beaten East Noble over the past few years. Usually really close, high scoring games.

C'mon Komets, seriously? Everyone thought Columbia City was good last year til they got squashed by EN then drubbed 38-0 by Dwenger. I wish them well, I really do. But that sectional is a two, maybe three at best, team race.

Andrean is a cake walk to semistate as long as healthy

Merrillville sound be at least at semistate. But there game this week will tell a lot.

crown point as much as I’m not na fan probably will get there unless Penn shows up.

Hobart is the only one I feel will walk into state as long as chatard in south. (Don’t remember)

north Judson can do it

I have Knox falling before semistate. Just not a fan.

Leo is legit. The biggest issue I have with what you said was the winner of Dwenger/East Noble was going to state. Don’t see it. Look, I support Fort Wayne area teams as much as you do, but I got to be real with what I see. This is a poor year for this area. It just is

I think Merrillville has an easy road to semi-state.  Is this the year they finally make it to state?  I mean, they have to break through sometime, right?

Hobart is VERY good this year. Big, tough, and not reliant on running the ball. 4A north should be very entertaining with Hobart, Mishawaka, Leo, East Noble, etc. Maybe Lowell sneaks in with the new coach from New Prairie. We'll see how they fair soon against Andrean and Hobart. Possibly South Bend St. Joe as well.

1. C'mon Temp, ignore the records and get Crown Point out of the 5 spot. Somewhere around 10-15 is more accruate based on their complete lack of skill talent.

2. Bring back the weekly HCC and MIC predictions.

Thanks!

I know it is essentially win the games in front of you, but I would avoid moving Penn up much further. They will struggle to get out of sectionals.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback.

1.  As it relates to Crown Point, you may be right.  However, they can only play the teams in front of them and attempted to beef up their schedule with a trip to Indy's westside.  Pike, unfortunately did not hold up their end of the bargain.  If you view my rankings as more of a "resume" type of system as opposed to a "who would beat who" that would be my suggestion.  I think the top 3 in 6A (Brownsburg, Carmel, and CG) are heads and shoulders above the rest of the class, but that is merely by looking at box scores, heresay and margin of victory.  Carmel absolutely decimated Fishers and Westfield and would probably do the same to Crown Point.  They would not beat em by 50 though, which is why I have CP clustered with the aforementioned teams.  The teams around Crown Point have great resume building opportunities in front of them as it relates to the schedule so their resume could potentially leapfrog CP and knock the Bulldogs back a bit.

2.  I might get back to the predictions this week.  Time will tell.

East Noble, at minimum, is as good as they were last year. Dwenger is drastically improved. Winner goes to state. Keep the receipt.

Why?

Because the whole of northwest indiana is a free trip to semis at anything higher than 2a

There is no such thing as a cakewalk to semi state due to health. In all classes but especially lower classes, staying healthy is paramount because you don’t have the depth. Andrean has been playing without one of their top players all season except for first half of game 1 vs Merrillvile and it shows. Offense has been a challenge without him.

crown point will have to gear up for an absolute war vs portage on their walk to the semi state while the mic and hcc teams roll into each other again

Then a fresh northern team takes three of their last four by beating a banged up Indy squad? Good grief.

though

most of the power comes out of the south

looking forward to Carmel reclaiming their throne of North gatekeepers

5A: Warsaw

3A: NW Indiana

2A: Adams Central

1A: South Adams
