Fall as fallen and we are already past the midpoint of our favorite season. Anyone have a clear cut favorite this year or is someone flying under the radar who should be getting alot more love? A QB from the cradle of quarterbacks in southern Indiana or dynamo RB from the donut? Is this the year we finally give an outstanding Lineman their due?

Lol, as if those guys are somehow important.

I'd love to see how the rest of the team performs if you take away one of the guards or tackles.

Gotta be McLaughlin from Knox just for the sheer volume of carries he's asked to take per game and the results he's produced.

158 carries, 1649 yards, 26 TDs so far.

Van Pelt from Carroll is a long shot, through the 4 games he has played at WR he has 30 receptions, 618 yds, and 8 tds.

That kid has some skills. He torched Center Grove for three touchdowns. Shame he wasn't able to play against HSE.

Heard someone say he is leading the NATION in rushing yards.

Looks like he's getting "pelted" with offers from mid majors. Looks Power 4 to me. Purdue and Northwestern (any bottom half Big Ten team) should be all over this kid.

I'll add to Jett Goldsberry...

783 yards passing, 11 TD

447 yards rushing, 12.4 yds/carry, 15 TD

482 all purpose yards

Now to defense, because our QB is one of our best tacklers

Tackles - 13 solo, 7 assist

3 Sacks

As of now 26 Total TDs, on pace to shatter what he had last year.

Lol, I would take Simms over him. Simms makes the team go, not Robinson.

Ok. I'll take either one.  But most voters will choose a QB over a RB.

If most voters see them on film they probably won't pick either one, but it would be cool to have a Mr. Indiana come out of the TRC.

This guy has my vote and should have everyone else's. It's not even close. Reminds me of Jack Kiser in his ability to do everything, but maybe more athletic than even Jack was.

MaxPreps has him leading the nation, not sure if this is accurate though

Anybody with the data to support my notion that this award just goes to the state’s highest rated skill player by the recruiting services?

How many years would it differ? The year David bell was runner up I think he was the states highest recruit..would u rather it go to someone putting up stats against paper tigers instead?

This is probably true most years. Only time recently I can remember differently was when Spegal won.

This year will be a good litmus test for this theory. It’s gonna come down to Myles and Jett. Do the voters go with Jett because he’s the higher rated recruit, even if Myles puts up historic numbers?

Think it hurts Myles that by the end of the regular season, 3A Knox will have played 4 1A level schools. Think post season success will be huge for Myles to get the award.

Definitely true. They’ll need to make a run
