Why do I think Penn is on a mission and that Carroll is just another team along the way

Both teams have played Elkhart

Can Carroll stop the Penn passing attack?

I have Carroll favored.

I think this has the chance of being an excellent game. As of today, I have a slight lean towards Penn as they have the home field, but that could certainly change as I watch more video. For the record, whoever wins this game isn’t going to rollover in semi-state…

What's caused your "friendship" to end?

nothing against Penn in the slightest

but i need them to lose to Carroll here

that way CP will have lost to penn, who lost to Carroll, who lost to westfield, who lost to brownsburg.

and then someone will still rank CP second or third next year.

Should be a good one at Freed Field . Carroll has played the tougher schedule with the 2 Indy bubble teams . Both teams have in my opinion D1 level wide receivers . Which QB can sling it better ? Which defense will hold up better ? Can Penn find a reliable long snapper ? Can't believe I actually agree with Temp on something , but I as well have Carroll slightly favored . As we all know , anything can happen come Friday night though .

Tell me about it , CP beats Penn twice and most people on this board want to crown them kings of the true north . For that to happen , you better do it more than twice ,and one of CP's wins was by a point .

Easy answer. You're from South Bend.

No, no. I have them ranked 5th next year. Carroll is third.

I hate when I hear that teams are on a mission . At this point in the season , every team is on a mission so to speak .

I have seen Penn in action.  Their aerial attack can hit you from different people not just one primary.  You may try to take their big name out of the game but there are others.  Their QB is good size and they have the typical tough running backs.

I honestly don't know enough about Penn to make a prediction. They looked pretty solid against Crown Point. I could see this one going either way. I'll roll with the Chargers though. I think their body of work over the course of the season is just a tad more impressive than Penn's. And I really really want to see Carroll host Westfield or Fishers.

I like Penn's chances a lot more than I would have liked CP's vs Carroll. Carroll is my slight favorite as well even though I took Penn in our Gridiron Eliminator Challenge (I need points even though I have no chance) so Go Kingsmen! 🤣

Carroll destroyed Elkhart. Lopsided game. Elkhart's defense had no clue on how to even attempted to stop them.

Dinan was always an offense kind of guy. Led Snider for a decade during one of their most dominating runs. He can coach and has Carroll at the top of the northeast mountain right now.

Penn - 37   Elkhart - 12

Carroll - 49 - Elkhart - 14

Both games played at Rice Field (Elkhart)

I thought Elkhart was loaded with transfer athletes. What's the problem there?

Has to be coaching . They have 3000 students and plenty of athletes .

As far as I know , it was only a QB from Northwood and Bardo from Penn .

And that was last year, when they were pretty good?

I don't think they were that good last year either , even with 2 D1 Defensive lineman . They barely escaped a bad Penn team 7-3 . Penn lost to CP by 35 and Mishawaka by 20 .

This game intrigues me just as last week's Crown Point/Penn tilt did.  The team with prestige and history trying to prove its in the process of revitalizing itself versus the up and comer that has tasted success and wants to get back to downtown Indy for another shot at it.
