And I'm assuming this really doesn't surprise anyone in The Fort.Β

Ben Davis 33, Cathedral 27 final

BD led 21-7 at the half and built a 27-10 lead midway in the 3rd quarter!Β  The Irish came back to tie the game at 27 early in the 4th quarter.Β  After a Giants turnover the Irish had the ball deep in BD territory, but a series of penalties led to a long missed FG!Β  BD then scored with 1:50 left in the game and then missed the XP!Β  The Irish quickly moved the ball into BD territory but a fumble, after a completed pass inside the 30 yard line, ended the game!Β  The Giants QB threw for 327 yards tonight!Β  No Irish opponent's QB threw for 300+ yards last season!Β  Lots of penalties and lots of turnovers, as you would expect in an opener!

North Side struggles against well run programs. I just don't know how you lose with 6-8 D1 players. Maybe East Noble is just THAT good? Not surprised. Good luck and God speed to Snider next week.Β

To get shutout and dominated, not buying any excuses!!! 8 D1 players, what a joke!!! I want to see some of these talent evaluators. They again got pushed around by players that love football and are willing to play team ball and sacrifice for their teammates. Worst coaching staff around, bar none…

Why they continue to put playmakers at qb is beyond me..they didn't learn from Tae? Put the jv or freshman QB at the start of the game and put your playmakers in open space..that coach is terrible..jaylon will take over soon..best player is returning kicks? Qb, safety, punter, kick/punt returner..is this 1A football? East Noble #1Β  recruit did not get the bulk of carries until the 4th quarter..y does Northside coach still have a job??

It's not like half of East Noble's starters are college football players too or anything. EN had the best player on the field according to recruit rankings too. Easy to blame on bad coaching. This is a half decade of almost putting a team together. However, losing by three scores to EN week 1 is something that would happen to a lot of good teams.

Not trying to knock EN in any way, but if 8 D1 players is true, your three away from having a college team. You shouldn't lose let alone get shutout. I'm sure some coaches would love to have 1 D1 athlete on their team. 8?! It def is easy to blame coaching.
