SIAC 2021

Recommended Posts

Castle over Bosse by 17, Bosse gives an early scare to Castle

North over Harrison by 20, North bounces back from their loss to Memorial

Memorial over Central by 7, going to be a close one all game in my opinion, whether or not Central is missing starters

Jasper over Reitz by 14, I think Reitz will pull an 1st half scare, but the Cats are too strong and athletic

Mater Dei over VL by 28, sorry VL fans, you will be in a rude awakening. Unless you pull it off almost from last year 👀

Castle over Bosse by 17, the Castle defense is just too good.

Memorial over Central by 13, Memorial continues to win by knocking off Central. Rough start to the year for the Bears

Jasper beats Reitz by 20. I don't see Reitz being able to stay with Jasper. Jasper will control the ball, the clock and the scoreboard.

MD handles Vincennes. The MD defense is strong and this might be the game the offense rises to their level.

North beats Harrison by 24. Tough start to the year for North but they rebound here with a nice win.

Central must have COVID issues.  Only 35 players?  I was a little surprised this wasn't more of a game.

42-21 Jasper over Reitz(it was close for a majority of the game)

Correct. It was 14-7 at half and 28-21 with 4 minutes left in the game. Seems like it was much closer than the score indicates. At the end of the first half, Reitz recovered a fumble in the end zone that was miscalled as down and didn’t come away with points to end the half. Then obviously the two pick-sixes proved costly for the Panthers. They seem to be much improved this season though. Hard to say who the best SIAC team is this early, but would not be shocked at all if it’s Jasper. Will be very interested in the Jasper-Castle and Jasper-MD game.

Panthers are for real. Their running back went down 2nd quarter and never came back. He was tearing us up until that point. Would have been a different game with him in there. Gave us all we all we could handle and more. Other than the 2 pick 6s, passing game was outstanding. If they stay healthy, they will contend for the conference championship.
