Team Season and Game Statistics

I am the statistician at Triton. I started out using Hudl live stats. That feature had a lot of good, but had a lot of problems. Hudl refused to update this feature and made it difficult are forcing small programs who may not have the funding to buy their Assist package or go in manually to do stats on their own. I made the executive decision to go to other programs just to give media what they wanted on Friday nights and used one of the free programs. It did alright, but it wasn't something that I felt was best for efficiency. I finally landed on Statman. I used it for a couple of seasons and really liked the stats we got from the game. I was able to send reports to the press and then upload everything to Maxpreps. The issue is typing. I didn't have spotters feeding me info and when you only have between 20-35 seconds, you have to be on point. Thankfully, Triton live streams the games so I can go back and fix errors at half and the end, but I have been really trying to find a program that you hit the button like what Hudl live stats did. So this year we decided to go with TurboStats and see if this will be something for the future. - Today

Wow. Kind of crazy to hear that. Speaking of former HHC head coaches becoming assistant coaches, I’ve had it confirmed from numerous sources that two-time former Jennings County head coach Rick Zimmerman is back on the Panthers’ staff. His 2015 JC team went 6-4. That’s the only time since 1997 that Jennings County has had a winning record. Since leaving after the 2016 season, Zimmerman spent three years as the head coach at South Decatur, three years at Seymour as an assistant, and was the head coach at Rushville last year. -

Interesting coaching update. Former New Albany coach Steve Cooley is on Floyd Centrals staff now. Not sure what his role is but I’m sure it’s on the offensive side. That’s a pretty big move because he’s a really good offensive mind. Not sure what happened at New Albany but they’re almost Jeffersonville-lite when it comes to football culture. - Yesterday

Just read the same, and link below to an article confirming IU and ND series not happening. Indiana football series with Notre Dame, scheduled for 2030-31, canceled
-
Notre Dame and USC to renew college football’s greatest intersectional rivalry, starting with the 2030 season opener in the Coliseum. A 4 yr. home & home deal. Reportedly, ND’s proposed series with IU is not happening.

Season officially started today, good luck to all the teams this year!

I hope so if you are talking schools that year in and year out of fielding outstanding football teams. If you are talking criminal activity, perhaps you might want to introduce fact with your comments. On the other hand, I guess that's the closest we will ever get of you admitting you only shared a part of the story. Too bad we don't have a clown to choose from with the other emoji options.

-After watching the North Put scrimmage vs the Panthers, passing the ball just seems to be detrimental to the panthers. It’s all flood concepts with no quick game, I wasn’t necessarily saying the panthers need to throw it 40 times a night but you can still run your counter, power, buck sweep and dive out of spread and not in a phone booth. -As always, I’m a dumba$$ but less guys in the box = easier to run the ball, and would be nice to get athletes the ball in open space by running some quick game, we talked about this at lunch kev and you agreed. Highlight of my life was when I asked why you insist on bringing a TE in when you could go 2x2, you said to block the defensive end on counter, I said “Kevin, my rich little bald buddy, you have a QB who can run, why don’t you just read him and get 2 more defenders out of the box?” That was the day when I knew I finally made it and I could walk away from the game love knowing I accomplished anything I could dream of, I helped the mayor of Montezuma. -They will be just fine offensively and average 60-70 a game, their defense is what will make or break them going to Lucas Oil. They will live and die by the sword running what they do, cover 0 tight man. Are the corners good enough to play man on a legit receiver not from the WRC? Time will tell in weeks 12-15. What coach will you guys hate this year? Moore, Barrett, Crabtree, and now a coach King are all gone. Who can we harass and degrade and be praised for it on here? I’m going to church. 🙏🏼

Last basketball season, I started using a brand new service called "Press Row Hoops" to keep stats while calling basketball games. It was such a success that the creators have now made programs for baseball, volleyball, and now football. The service is pretty impressive to be built by only one person, but I think it's really worth checking out. -

You're underestimating him and he loves it. BC will have the one of the best years they've had in a long time. -

Team Season and Game Statistics
RegionFBFan posted a topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
As the season is upon us, I was interested in how your schools/team handle stat recording and publishing. We currently are using Hudl for film, manually record stats on Saturday morning on a publisher stat sheet and publish on Maxpreps. It’s very thorough but takes 2-3 hrs and done by someone not on staff or in school. Do you use a software on a computer at the game so they are live? Who is accountable for doing the stats? Asst coach, student, film crew, parent? Like I said, I’m interested in improving efficiency and am curious on how others do it. Ideally, I’d like our team’s process to mirror college football stats when you look up online. Thanks in advance for your ideas/thoughts. -
Who has the hardest offense to prepare for

From what I've noticed on the field, any sort of Wing-T that runs fluidly for 4 quarters and elite speed. You just can't get your practice squad to transform into something they're not.- 1 reply
