  2. Also Southern Wells is looking for a new coach. Their head coach last season is going to be an assistant coach at South Adams per Outside The Huddle (OTH). Heritage & Southern Wells suffered the same fate of losing their head coach to a conference foe where they'll be assistants.
  3. I don’t even like turf for football. If I need do grow the grass out and create puddles on the field to slow down an opponents star running back, that’s my God given right as the home team.
  4. I was wondering this late in the summer, has Heritage named their new head football coach?
  5. for ISU though, the BBall coach move to St. Louis is an odd move; not even a lateral move. he is going to quickly find out, along with the players who joined him there that last season was a once in a lifetime shot. They will not be the darlings of college basketball they were last season. I will be interested in seeing the game when St. Louis plays AT ISU.
  6. Still remember during an IU game last season, Joel Klatt put it best. Programs like IU will be more like a minor league program. Guys will sign and play with the hopes of a better offer after a year at the D1 level. Guys who are not starters in those programs will move to a program they can become a starter and prove their value. I don't envy a coach like Cignetti. His team will be more competitive than IU has been, but to what end? When key players can transfer easily.

  9. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/06/cop-busted-for-unauthorized-use-of-clearview-ai-facial-recognition-resigns/ I guess the police union couldn't get the LEO in question an effective pardon, so he just resigned.
  10. The Coen Brothers have some other great movies. Fargo, Raising Arizona, off the wall but it has its moments, The Ladykillers, Burn After Reading may be the funniest. Still can’t believe the Academy overlooked Brad Pitt’s performance in Burn After Reading.
  11. Get back to me when you’ve seen it a minimum of 17 times, you should be starting to get it by then…..it’s a way of life.
  12. Purdue got a 3-star Tight End from Ohio yesterday. That's where the rating of recruits perplexes me. Ohio, along with California, Florida (and most southern states), Pennsylvania, and Texas have some pretty good football programs. That being said, does a 3-star by Ohio's standards equate to a higher ranking elsewhere? Have a great day and stay hydrated--gonna be a hot one today! G
  13. Trump Wants To Exempt Tips From Income Taxes. Why Stop There?: https://reason.com/2024/06/11/trump-wants-to-exempt-tips-from-income-taxes-why-stop-there/ Another empty, uni-party campaign promise.
  14. K/P Bryce Taylor of Bloomington South has committed to IU. His junior season was cut short by a broken collarbone.
  15. Last week
  16. Since 99% of teams had no shot at a state title in the single class era, it wasn’t really the concern in most communities. Yea the Milan miracle was a great story, but it wasn’t really an upset story. For most communities winning the sectional gained your town/school/players a life long bragging rights locally, especially for smaller towns in a way a state title today doesn’t approach.
  17. As you know, Rod Woodson was willing to help fund a stadium for Snider many years ago and FWCS shut it down saying they wouldn’t let him in one of the most asinine decisions ever. But hey, let’s build South Side a stadium in another idiotic decision while the cow cash of Fort Wayne public high schools is forced to continue to play their games at Northrop
  18. Agree, I've seen 10 fans on a few occasions. Trust me, wondering why the top (by far) football revenue producing school in Fort Wayne just happened to be the only program without a field has always been the million dollar question. Maybe this current plan has been in the works longer than we realize. I do give credit to FWCS, they could have said, "Northrop's been your home for five decades and it will continue to be your home." Instead, not only are they building a stadium, but they are pumping 30 million in improvements to the campus. Just take it, don't look back, and savor the memories of the all gigantic games at Spuller Spuller stadium.
  19. The man in the logo, Mr. Clutch passed away. https://www.nba.com/news/jerry-west-passes-away-at-86
  20. What a joke.......... https://hookemheadlines.com/posts/did-the-lamborghinis-outside-of-dkr-do-the-job-for-texas-longhorns-recruiting-01j041kezrfm
  21. I remember how long it took me to finally watch The Big Lebowski, after being ridiculed by several people for not seeing it. And then when I watched it, I ridiculed myself as to "why in the hell did it take so long to watch this instant classic?"
