Thanks for sharing. Certainly not one of the stronger polls we'll see throughout the season. Wondering how they come up with these rankings. Last year's results combined with D1 prospects on the roster? Do Maxpreps and Calpreps have any idea how many starters return for the season? Presuming they know who the statistical leaders were during their junior campaigns. But do they have any idea how many offensive or defensive linemen return from a season ago if they're not getting D1 attention?

Probably at Top 10 team in 5A. Top 5 if their offensive line comes together. The SAC is solid this year (lots of D1 talent, just not at Snider). They could lose five or six regular season games and still be a good 5A team. But make no mistake, the goal over there is winning a state title. Historically, it's takes a couple of years to recover from a season like they had last year. I think when it's all said and done with, Snider will be a serious threat in the North. New Pal and Cathedral might be on an island of their own this season with regard to winning the whole thing. Time will tell. Gimmie Lafayette Jeff as the pre-season front runner to represent the North.

Same here! We open with 3A #1 Gibson Southern on the road. Should be a great litmus test right off the bat.

Said it last year...never thought id see the day Perry Central appeared in any sort of winless list. Hopefully the pull one out this season

MaxPreps is HEAVILY influenced by previous year at this point.

They would be wise to schedule each other wherever possible. Guaranteed way to remove some from the board.

Hard to see Pioneer being #1 after losing 8 seniors and the majority of your offensive and defensive production from a year ago...

North Vermillion will get some wins this year. New head coach Nate Crum and Payton Hendershot brothers Bryce & Austin Hendershot now on staff. Should be a much better year.

Can't help you with the "something else." But I think there will always be something off when it comes to Maxpreps. I've always said that the best polls are right here on the GID.

That is an idea. It would interesting to see exactly what form this new entity would take, and how it would interact with the university regarding things like facilities, athlete housing, etc.

They should find someone that can spell/write to run their account... I swear to God they should.

College flag is a Spring sport as are many states doing HS flag. It could evolve as recruiting grows and Indiana girls are overlooked because they are playing outside the normal recruiting window.
