  1. Past hour
  2. They would be wise to schedule each other wherever possible. Guaranteed way to remove some from the board.
  3. Today
  4. Hard to see Pioneer being #1 after losing 8 seniors and the majority of your offensive and defensive production from a year ago...
  5. North Vermillion will get some wins this year. New head coach Nate Crum and Payton Hendershot brothers Bryce & Austin Hendershot now on staff. Should be a much better year.
  6. Castle preview: https://www.14news.com/2026/08/06/castle-knights-football-team-prepares-battle/
  7. 2 weeks! Excited for the season!
  8. Can't help you with the "something else." But I think there will always be something off when it comes to Maxpreps. I've always said that the best polls are right here on the GID.
  9. That is an idea. It would interesting to see exactly what form this new entity would take, and how it would interact with the university regarding things like facilities, athlete housing, etc.
  10. They should find someone that can spell/write to run their account... I swear to God they should.
  11. no no that seems right at face value if not underexaggerated a little bit. gotta be something else
  12. College flag is a Spring sport as are many states doing HS flag. It could evolve as recruiting grows and Indiana girls are overlooked because they are playing outside the normal recruiting window.
  13. Harder to hide $ from the government when you have to keep track on inventory. Easier to take cash at the gate and forget to track the number of spectators.
  14. LSU would probably spin off a new entity to house the athletic department. As is, athletic departments are supposed to be self suifficient and not rely on taxpayer funds that filter into the school.
  15. My suggestion would be that if a school that withdraws from a full varsity schedule in 11 man after moratorium week, they would go to 8 man until they can show a consistent participation for a predetermined years (2 or 3) and number of players (say 25) before being allowed back into 11 man.
  16. Quick scroll thru twitter this evening. It appears the local NC T-Birds Barstool account is taking issue with the RP offense. The football world needs more of this, IMO. "Let's talk sh*t about a team that clocked us last year and pray we don't draw them again in sectionals". Please tell me they play in the regular season...??NC - RP.pdf
  17. Haha! Agree. Brutal. Just brutal.
  18. Top six from the south, bottom four from the north?
  19. That was my thought as well. A “Top 25” for a class of 32 schools seems a bit like overkill.
  20. Yesterday
  21. I agree, but the later is great cover for the former. I figured based on what I had seen throughout the day. Its too bad, but I am really glad they aren't folding.
  22. something about this list doesnt sit right with me I just haven't figured out what it is yet.
  23. Bloomington South at No. 3? I don't know about that. They are a huge question mark going into the season as an independent this season with significant graduation losses on both sides of the ball. It will be on to the Hoosier Hills Conference after this season.
  24. So only 7 teams in 5A aren’t ranked…
