  2. I've read that 50 employees would be all they need to keep a data center running. The number of kids is indeed trending down. Here in Westfield, they had a demographer and his company run the numbers for this past year. This is not analyzing just the current population, but homes under construction, subdivisions approved but have yet built, and things like the number of homes of the total in the city that have no kids. This includes homes that house only adults where the kids have grown up and moved, or homes with people of child bearing age who choose not to have kids. In Westfield, that is just over 60% of households. I remember our mayor said he was shocked at that news. Now as for the schools, yes, the high school is at 3,000 and still growing. However the demographer looks at all grades, from preschool to 12th grade. Those lower grades are where the numbers really are sliding. He said this is happening in every school district in Hamilton County. I remember he used HSE as an example. That school system has lost over 1,000 kids since it's peak. I can imagine in the 1A and 2A public schools, all pretty much located in rural areas, these lower numbers are already happening.
  3. Call me and I'll hook up anyone in here with decals. So long as you don't have a BSN guy already, happy to help.
  4. OK, when I stated “everyone hates FC” it was rhetorical. I haven’t held anything in, just sick of listening to you jerk yourself off over a couple of conference titles and winning what 2-3 tournament games? 11. What ratings were used? Massey?
  12. Gotta love the Midwest cost of living!
  13. Yeah....I pay for it. But as a pubic school guy...one of my kids can't eat now.
  14. I can't tell if you're trolling or not, and I'm trying to state my words clearly and non disrespectfully, as I have multiple friends at BNL--- as this is NOT a shot at them... and I also have some admiration of how Coach Tidd has started his coaching career 9-4 with a sectional championship game appearance is very solid. BNL did NOT dominate, like at all, 2A Brownstown who was replacing 19 starters from last seasons state runner up squad...
  15. Week 2, last tune ups before WRC play... Attica at Tri County - Ramblers really let me down last week. I thought they could have started the year 2-0. Guess I was wrong. Hopefully, they don't let me down again this week against the Cavaliers. Attica in a close one. 27-20 Covington at Englewood - The cupcakes keep stacking up for the Trojans. Although I think the Techies will put up more of a fight. Good thing WRC play starts next week. Covington wins big again. 41-20 Fountain Central at Crawfordsville - Heartbreaker for the Mustangs last week. Coach Earl and the gang have another tough one this week with more of the same. Athenians start 2-0 in the WRC. 34-18 Paris, Ill. at North Vermillion - Nifty kick return for the Falcons last week. Too bad the offense didn't do anything else. Tigers have dominated this one as of late. 34-12 Seeger at Benton Central - Patriots took it on the chin from a pretty physical Carroll (Flora) team. I keep hearing Herbinator has good things going at BC with the Bison. Not this week. First win for Cronk at Seeger. 28-7 South Vermillion at Sullivan - This one will be over before halftime. Even with all those skill players, Junior Visors do not stand a chance up front. Arrows all the way. 45-6 West Vigo at Parke Heritage - This will be a fight. The Vikings started to get things going last week, it was just too late. I think Crabtree uses that for momentum into this week. Woolfs will be on the short end again. 24-22 Riverton Parke at Tri (Saturday) - From what I hear, if the Panthers don't get in their own way, they may have clocked Linton. Still a good win for them. The Titans however, are top ten ranked after pounding an inferior opponent 67-0. This will be another good test for RP. 35-7
  16. 100 yard ... just "thinner." It does change the dynamics a little, but the thinner field blunts some of the "get to the corner and it's a TD." I've seen and coached/played in variants of this at the youth level and the game still keeps several of the things that make for good tackle football. We had one time where we showed up and the other team only had 9 kids that could make the game. Rather than have the other team forfeit, on the fly the refs and us coaches came up with a variant of 9-man ball so that the game could still be played that day. Had alter some things like having to have 7 on the line, but all and all, the experience was a success and definitely beat leaving the field with a 2-0 win and clean uniforms. All in all, if its a question of 8-man or no-man, 8-man's the better option ... for the sport and the kids.
  17. I read it. No fan of it. Just trying to not get the thread locked down.
