South Warren Spartans. (the) Newest school built in the Warren County School System - Bowling Green, KY, less than 5 years ago. They have risen to the top of Warren County sports in rapid time. They are separate from Bowling Green schools (BGHS Purples are the city school system). I graduated from Warren Central (KY) in 83. There were 2 HS in the system at that time: Warren Central and Warren East. Built/Added Greenwood (1990s) and South Warren (2010s). South Warren has become a very good 5A team in Kentucky, and should be a great matchup for Gibson Southern. The school is the largest campus in the state of Kentucky, as an aside... and built on the land in which had purchased a home when GM moved the Corvette Plant there from Saint Louis. (Thank GOD I just tagged along and headed up north to Indiana when Dad took a promotion to the GM Truck plant here). GO TITANS!!!

I certainly don't think you're an outsider, but just being honest that you're a referee and may have a little bit of inside information is good. I heard some of the coaches implying that things were in the works and this was public implying. You don't have to believe it, but you can certainly text them or shoot them a message on facebook, and then comment here. Oh, and take three knees and kick the ball out of bounds. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Clock management counts. 🙂

I think the “closed conferences” are a mistake as well. It did no favors for the Hoosier Crossroads Conference. Long term, I think the conferences will open back up.

Bingo. Valpo just came off stacking 3 very good classes, but the next couple of classes have not been as good. They’ve still got some studs (the younger Jones brother, Hayden Vineyard), but the lack of underclassmen talent really hurt them this year, and they had to put everything on the shoulders of their seniors. The Vikings’ regular season unbeaten streak comes to an end next year. Merrillville was bolstered heavily by covid-driven transfers, who are now either graduating or rumored to be transferring back to their previous schools. Like Valpo, the cupboard won’t be completely bare, and there’s talent in the pipeline, but I don’t believe the Pirates will have the level of talent they had this year for awhile. City, on the other hand, returns nearly all of its impact players from a young team and also has some young studs coming through their pipeline. Their outlook the next few seasons is, in my opinion, the brightest in the DAC.

Houston and Minnesota have awful defenses. Jacksonville may not even try now that the Jets have foolishly handed them Lawrence. Will Green Bay even need to play their starters in week 17? Nagy and Phillips may be saving their jobs with this cushioned wins. I think I'm going to puke.

I think your questions start with Morton. IMO, there's no possible way for Central to become an "Elkhart" if too much of Hammond's talent is stil going to Morton.

We attended the Herbstreit every year they held it and saw some great teams play some great games. I have been advocating something like this for years but have seen no movement toward an event actually being considered. It would even be better if we lifted that silly 300 travel mile rule and could get teams like Alabaster Thompson (AL), Colquitt County (GA) and Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas to play our best. Gosh I'm dreaming again and realize that such a thing will never happen here.

And the “need” for “new” administrative positions seems to be growing in certain places it seems. Some schools are willing to admit it, others think they are hiding it. Just look at some of the job titles on the Gateway site.

ALSO 2010 5 classes 3 P/P champions 2011 5 classes 4 P/P 2012 5 classes 4 P/P 2013 5 classes 4 P/P From 2010-2013 only 5 classes!!! 2014 6 classes 3 P/P 2015 6 classes 2 P/P 2016 6 classes 3 P/P 2017 6 classes 3 P/P Champions 8 previous years! If my math skills are on point in these 8 years 26 of the possible 40 chance were won by P/P schools! That's 65%! I stand by my comments that the reality shouldn't be P/P schools dominating their respective classes year in and year out! (Chatard) to field a team of 107 players (Max Preps stat) Obviously you missed this piece of info, that I actually used Max Preps as a source!!!

My my my did someone have a bad day or what?? So it's pretty ignorant for a public school, let's say Heritage Hills, to have a complaint having to play a PP school like Chatard in LOS last year. I think the football rosters were something like HH 50 kids, Chatard 110 kids. That's the same kind of disadvantage you allude to in your ignorant response above mentioning Oldenburg Academy, Providence and anyone else playing Cathederal or whoever. If I may......you are saying it's okay for public schools to compete with this obvious disadvantage of being outsized and outnumbered, but by golly no way a PP school, especially a smaller one at that, should have to play against a bigger and better roster. C'mon man!!!
