Craig Buzea to be enshrined into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame 4. Andrean’s Drayk Bowen named 2022 Indiana Mr. Football. First in the history of the 219. This is as good as life gets around here. Yet it is, just the same. What specific classes does a "Director of sports performance" teach? The word "Director" seems to indicate a primarily administrative position, something that has exploded in primary schools, secondary schools, and college/universities over the last couple of decades. Too many non-teaching, administrative positions and not enough, you know, teachers.

Well that’s an update haha. Last I knew of, she was an assistant at Bedford NL. I wonder if Mrs Hart ever realized she would raise 3 HS coaches on top of being married to one when she first met Coach John Hart haha shoot…she could probably coach a football team better than most of us on here 😂

219 BABY!!!

I've beaten this drum for a number of years on the GID - but with the demands of instruction and curriculum, the days of the "classroom coach" (talking Head Coach) is becoming more and more rare. PE, advanced PE, strength, "director of sports performance" (this was a new one to me!), etc...seem to be the Head guy's role anymore. Not saying right/wrong/indifferent - just observations.

Branson Combs getting a 7th year at Memorial?

Jaron Tibbs may not have been the best football player in the state of Indiana, but he sure was the best wide receiver in the state of Indiana. He surely deserved to be the Mr. Football recipient at his position. I'm sure it doesn't bother him too much that he didn't receive the "honor" but to those of us who watched him play for three years it's a downright shame. I've watched Cathedral football for more than 65 years, and Jaron's the best WR I've ever seen play at Cathedral School, and that includes great receivers like Terry McLaurin. There was no one better in the clutch than Jaron. I realize that I'm an Irish fanboy, but I don't take lightly what I just said. Shame on whoever passed on this fine young man, and great wide receiver!

I wonder who those officers were trying to impress.......They obviously didn't give a darn about those teenage kids.....

I know Cody personally, I have not talked to him, but the fact that he was bombarded today to the point that he felt compelled to put out a statement is just so disappointing.

A makeup call for blowing it with Devon Mockobee? I’m happy for Clay. Great player and athlete. But it still amazes me that IU was that badly asleep behind the wheel that they wouldn’t even offer Mockobee a PWO…despite Darin Ward being an IU FB alum.

Most schools are going to have a Advanced Physical Education teacher no matter if you agree or not. This one actually has a title for APE, Sports medicine, sports nutrition, and mental health so you take care of 4 positions with 1 hire.

That is not the point of my inquiry, but nice try at deflection.

So the taxpayers foot the the bill for such an extravagence?
