Also if you're reading this and your name isn't purple let's make it happen. Tourny time folks. Let's help out a bit. If @Donnie Bakercan make his name purple by slowing down his only fans usage so can you. Good luck this weekend to all teams! Can wait for the arguing!!

  3. From the state of Wisconsin, which I admit I am not familiar with. Just saw this on social media. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/high-school/2024/10/21/high-school-football-wiaa-facing-controversy-over-playoff-brackets/75777790007/ The short of it - The state organization (WIAA) selects playoff teams and seeds them according to a somewhat vague formula with tiebreakers. Or at least appears to maybe have not followed their own precedent. No worries though. The teams left out have put in an inquiry which will be answered by the WIAA - in December.

Tune in to 103.3....:) SECTIONAL 32 OPENER HH vs GIBSON SOUTHERN Friday, October 25th 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff @ Gibson Southern - Jack Jewell Field History Of The Matchup Heritage Hills (8-1) @ Gibson Southern (7-2) Gibson Southern - Jack Jewell Field Fort Branch, IN Friday, October 25, 2024 7:00 pm CDT Kickoff This is the 53rd meeting between Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern. Heritage Hills leads the overall series 35-17. Our Patriots are averaging 40.0 ppg on offense, while holding opponents to 7.6 ppg. The Titans are averaging 36.7 ppg, while allowing 17.8 ppg. The Patriots also faced three teams that consolidated into Gibson Southern High School in the 1972 and 1973 seasons. Heritage Hills went 0-2 vs Fort Branch, 1-1 vs Haubstadt and 2-0 vs Owensville. In the first season of Patriot Football, the Patriots went 9-1 and their only loss was to Fort Branch (15-12). The Titans won the first three meetings in the series by beating Roger Snow’s Patriots in 1974, 1975 and 1976. The Patriots didn’t beat the Titans for the first time until 1977, which was the year Bob Ashworth became the Patriots Head Coach. The 1977 season was Bob Clayton's only season as Offensive Coordinator at Heritage Hills before he stepped into the Head Coach role. The following season Ashworth moved onto Evansville Reitz and Clayton took over the Heritage Hills program. The Titans have won 13 of the last 21 meetings starting with a win in 2010 that snapped the Patriots streak of 21 straight wins over the Titans. Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern have played 5 overtime games in the series including a 7-0 five overtime affair in 1982. WE NEED YOU this SATURDAY LOUD & PROUD! BRING THE 12th MAN! 8. This isn’t even the biggest controversy for HSF here in Wisconsin. WIAA recently suspended 2 high school programs for 2 full years from playoffs because the districts didn’t properly submit paperwork saying they were changing conferences. they found out this last week in the season finale that their seasons were forfeit…2 years no playoffs….because the AD or WIAA couldn’t get the paperwork figured out….kids did nothing wrong and receive 100% of the punishment

  9. Probably something like that. They are having a good season (for them). If I recall correctly, I'm not sure the varsity crossed the 50, and if they did it wasn't by much.

  10. Great promo. What was the reason Washington would not allow the HUDL stream? Didn't want a public execution broadcast worldwide?

  14. Sectional Week 1... Most of the WRC teams won't survive this week. Seeger @ Lewis Cass - The Patriots have played harder the second half of the season. I look for them to make this a game. I don't know much about the Kings this year, but I do know they've played a decent schedule. I'll take the home team. Cass 28 Seeger 20 North Posey @ South Vermillion* - I saw a chance for morning rain Friday, hopefully the Visors can get the air dryers on the field before game time. The Vikings have a long trip, we'll see how they handle it. (As @Donnie Baker says, the IHSAA sucks at geology, lol.) If they're as good as they say they are, SV should have no problem. But I think NP will roll, too many athletes. Which is a shame because I can't imagine what a Linton-South Vermillion 2nd round game would look like. (Actually, I could.) NP 42 SV 28 Covington @ Attica - Hopefully the Trojans can find some one else to carry the ball. Lots of adjustments on offense this week at the Complex with the absence of RB1. The Ramblers will do what they do. Which is show up and play hard. The new turf looks good! Winner gets South Putnam. Cov 28 Attica 6 Fountain Central @ South Putnam - Unfortunately, the Mustangs don't have the horses to run against the Eagles. Herb will have them coached up, but what's that old saying about Jimmies and Joes? South Putnam has too many Jimmies and Joes. SP 42 FC 8 Parke Heritage @ Riverton Parke - The Woolfs were completely man-handled two weeks ago. I think they put up a little bit of a fight this week, but it is not going to be enough. The Panthers survived the Trojan onslaught last week, but their patient, grinding style eventually won out. It's tough to stop a steamroller. Woolfs will be getting ready for basketball next week. RP gets ready for a possible rematch at the Gibson. RP 42 PH 14 North Vermillion @ North Central (Farmersburg)- The Falcons seem to be barely hanging on, but they are still winning. The Thunderbirds have built a little momentum with the return of their QB. This will be a different game. NV should win, but I hope they don't look ahead to their possible rematch with RP in round 2, because T-birds could nip them in this battle of the birds. NV 35 NC 22

  17. It is on another part of the bell. The only games that are recorded on the bell are regular season match-ups. The KofC Victory Bell does not get exchanged for tournament games. Example in 2004 Cathedral beat Roncalli 20-17 in the regular season and brought the Bell back to the Hill. In the tournament Roncalli beat Cathedral 17-16 but the Bell remained in Cathedral's possession because it is only exchanged during regular season games. In 2005 Cathedral again beat Roncalli 21-14 and kept the Bell then Roncalli beat Cathedral 16-12 in the tournament. Then in 2006 Roncalli reclaimed the bell to the southside beating Cathedral 14-13. In the tournament Cathedral beat Roncalli 28-0. Cathedral had to wait until 2007 to beat Roncalli 31-0 and regain control of the bell. They have held it since then.

  18. Good question. It's been a long time since I have seen the bell in person. The only thought I have is maybe those years are on another part of the bell. Maybe @FastpacedO can verify?

  19. "Honey get your backside off the couch! North Miami ham salad sandwiches are BACK!!! Grab the keys!" You know, I've been around Denver nearly 30 years, and I never had heard them selling ham salad sandwiches. Home crowd was getting quite a kick out of it as well! South Newton at North Judson: Ooof. 66-0 Jays South Central at Culver: Interesting result last week. Hopefully neither team is ready to turn in equipment quite yet! 27-20 Cavaliers Pioneer at Caston: Good foundation season for the Comets. Hopefully they can build on it next season! Pioneer rolls. 48-8 Panthers Taylor at Winamac: Going with the HNAC and the competition it's provided. Winamac builds off of last week's win. 2 is a streak! 35-18 Warriors Blackhawk Christian at North Miami: Quite the game last week in Denver. NM up 21-0 early 3rd before losing their edge and coming about 20 yards from blowing it completely. The (maybe/hopefully) rematch will be quite the battle! I know nothing about FWBC, but I think they're in trouble. 40-7 Warriors Southwood at Triton: Knights haven't had a year like this in a LONG time. Get the basketballs out on the way home. Side note, I like the HNAC top 5 over the TRC top 5 top to bottom this year. But I do think Southwood will be a little better than the bottom 2-3 of the HNAC. Boys of Bourbon comfortably. 41-6 Trojans

  20. I have several close confidential sources in the sports news industry here in Indiana, and they have all given me the inside scoop on why helicopters are no longer visiting high school football games. With the emergence of schools using drones to film their football games, it is now too dangerous for the helicopters to navigate and attempt to land at said schools. There were several close calls between drones used for filming and helicopters, leading to an agreement between television stations across the state to ground their choppers until teams revert back to the much safer and higher quality of filming with endzone cameras. Legislation to ban the use of drones to film high school sports in Indiana is currently being crafted by concerned politicians, the news helicopter pilots' union, and representatives from the big endzone camera lobby. I would expect to see top of the line endzone cameras, such as the HI-POD X31, making a return to endzones near you in dramatic fashion.
