  1. I'm old enough to have seen Bob catch in the minor leagues. He was quite the character even back then. He made Major League and Major League II must watches for me. And his appearances on The Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson, were legendary. He was one of a kind! RIP!

  3. One of the greatest characters of the game. The schedule he maintained while sick is amazing. RIP Bob https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/43439250/beloved-brewers-broadcaster-bob-uecker-dies-age-90

  4. I’m sure you’ve seen it by now but Goode hard box out gets called for a foul . Illinois Center taunts him in what Slavic language he speaks . Rice comes over and shoves him away from Goode everyone starts holding everyone back . Then Ballo comes in and shoves the center super late to the ground . 2 techs on Rice and Ballo , Ballo was ejected . 2 techs on Illinois . But as Robbie Hummel mentioned not really sure why Underwood felt the need to have his starters and main rotational guys in the game up almost 30 with 2 min left .

  5. I will just say this as a college athlete parent, keeping in mind my daughter played Softball and we always knew there was no million dollar contract at the end of this rainbow. I have to think for the masses that’s still the case, 90% of the college athletes have to know the same thing. I did my homework on coaches we talked to during the recruiting process, I wanted the same values we as parents were trying to teach. And obviously the education. Somehow all that stuff gets lost in all this. I realize I’m from another time, but there’s nothing wrong with having some values.

  6. I have no idea. I was thinking of the “regular” schools, like the MAC, etc. smaller D1 schools.

  7. The part he did have right is you can't leave and return during the same dead ball period or enter and leave. That applies to one player or 11 players. When he was called for it in 2017, he probably subbed all 11 players and then had them return and thought the 11 players was the issue. He should know better though because he's the co-chair of the NCAA rules committee!

  12. This is what I was referring to as “Purdue people”. My daughter's coach often referred to “Marian people”, those were kids who got it done in the classroom, good teammates, kids that had a work ethic, kids that were competitors, kids that had game savvy. I have mad respect for what Painter has accomplished at Purdue, and if you remember his playing days, there was little doubt he was going to be a successful coach. Bloomington has bought into the AAU bro culture, does anyone that’s watched this garbage think any of those people give a shit about their teammates or University on the front of their jerseys?

  15. How do you get clowning out of a factual statement? He always looked at GID as a monetized business, but that's not really its business model. Anyone who was around back when Tim Adams was running it realized that very quickly. It's still being run by volunteers in the same vein. It's a different business model.
