I know, right?! Who wants an even playing field, where the better team on that day wins? Sheesh. Give me random and the ability for host schools to manipulate the game. THAT'S WHAT SPORTS ARE ALL ABOUT!!!
Wait....

Interesting. Here's to their success on the gridiron.
Jasper - New Weightroom Equipment: Girls Basketball HC Brittany Maners and Football HC Derek Hart presented a new Perch weight system + programming at last night's school board meeting. Unanimous approval.
Among the additions:
-Perch lifting equipment with a digital component tracking rep speed and indicators
-Advanced metrics charting weight lifted vs body weight
-Athletic turf for agility, rehabbing, etc.
That's because they were doing it for years since 3rd grade at Good Shepherd in the Memorial feeder league. That's where I first saw the "when in doubt throw the jump ball to Branson" plays.
Congratulations to all who have participated in this discussion to date. A discussion about home field advantage and not one person has mentioned officiating.
🤣😂
Fair point. I have noticed that Maryland, under this current coach, has had some decently rated recruiting classes. But to your point, how many stay, how many move on, how many come in later with experience from other schools.
Schools like to take credit when they put players in the NFL....again I assume for recruiting purposes. To your point, it may be debatable if they deserve the credit. Certainly is a different world in CFB.
Agreed. Really surprised Maxen wasn't drafted. Roseman is possibly the best in the game right now. IMO, says a lot about Hook that the Eagles targeted him. Regarding the draft, I thought only Grant and Kiser were Indiana kids to go. Didn't recognize Alexander's name while looking at the draftracker. Love it when the MAC kids can break into the NFL.
I can't believe I'm doing this....
did you not look at the data? There is no trend in that data to suggest anything has been eliminated. 2000's data-- .93, 2024--- .97
Spikes in 2010-- 2.06, but then by 2014 it's .83... back to 2.05 in 2023.
The data tells us there is zero trend here.... facts matter
My guess is from most of the noise I have seen, thier HC is not so well thought of at Maryland
To @Irishman point, how many were drafted and played all 3/-5 years at Maryland? I think Bears LB Hippottle did.
I mean Purdue should get half a point for Nic Scrouten (played for Brohm under Nic Caraway).
Appreciate Cam Ward here. Love it
In this new era of college football, I think the question to ask as a follow up is how many of those guys transferred to Maryland and played just 1 or 2 seasons. Someone that transfers like that is likely more interested in their numbers than winning, unfortunately.
Figured someone would have posted about this already. But this absolutely one of the coolest field designs in the state. Hats off to the Speedway folks that incorporated the IMS logo and the "yard of bricks" for the 50 yard line. Great job over there on the west side.
