  1. I didn’t take that from his comments. CGHS has a plethora of options for student activities. Additionally Coach Mills offers strength and conditioning opportunities for both students and the community. Your comment came across to me as today’s media 101, which is less about accurate understanding and more about pushing a personal agenda.

  2. I haven’t heard anything yet. Gotcha. I was thinking since Reitz already did, that it left 8 teams so maybe they could redo all schedules to make the off week the same week. Didn’t know Jasper already filled theirs.

  3. Love little classics like this! Especially early on in the season with good weather. I wish we saw more of these.

  4. I still have a South Central Conference handbook from my senior year in high school (1966 - Franklin Community). Among other information it provides, is the conference history up to that point. I remember the conference having nine members until Jeffersonville joined in the late 1950s as the 10th member; then Southport left after the 1963/64 school year and was replaced by Bloomington in 1964/65. I think BHS was chosen over University, Madison and a couple others (New Albany and North Vernon maybe?) A couple of forgotten members of the conference going wayback were Greencastle who was a charter member but withdrew in 1949 and Indianapolis Washington who joined in 1938 and left in 1942.

  5. Yep. I graduated in '64 and it was the following football season that they entered the SCC in the fall of '64. I remember that Evans. Reitz was considered the eminent football power in the state at that time and recently had a couple of 9-0 seasons and two state championships (mythical and no class football), and Bloomington High went down to Evansville (the 63-64 season) and beat them by something like 20 points in the Reitz Bowl. We had a big pep rally in the school gym that following Monday.

  8. Boosters will likely feed the visitors! No burden on the taxpayer. These types of events are such a good idea, I'm surprised you didn't think of it, Muda!

  9. Sponsorship covers visitor travel expenses, I believe. Nothing saves taxpayer dollars like these sponsored bowl events.

  11. If you have the athletes and they stick to their keys. One weak link and you're in for a long night.

  12. I'm having a hard time thinking of teams that I have not seen play. Got one, I have never seen Vincennes play.

  13. It would seem there are future plans for an upgraded Memorial Stadium. https://www.si.com/college/indiana/football/curt-cignetti-indiana-football-memorial-stadium-upgrades-look-different-future-01k18xgcjn3r

  14. So "athletes", aka those participating in an extracurricular athletic program, should be given priority over "slugs" who are not interested in extracurricular athletics but still want to improve themselves physically?

  15. Yes. A few times. Actually. But duneland wise.. I wouldn’t call it shit down but Merrillville in regionals 2019 I believe Warsaw ran for 200 in first quarter or so. But mid 2nd -end of game I think only got 70 more yards. I could be wrong though. There was a lot of nonsense in that game they system it’s self is easy to beat if your players know there assignments. My husband uses the system in pop warner.
