  1. Lengthy appeal that went well into regular season.

  2. Someone tried telling the world, but the MSM just would not listen (for whatever reason). If you do not learn from history, you are bound to repeat it. Will 2/23/22 be the same as 9/1/39? I guess only time will tell.

  3. Not a rule change, but potentially significant. This article, published today by the National Federation, reveals that “Sportsmanship” is the No. 1 Point of Emphasis in all sports this year. https://www.nfhs.org/articles/regarding-sportsmanship-it-s-time-for-wake-up-call-in-high-school-sports/ For us, this potentially translates into lower tolerance for trash talking, celebrations, taunting, and sideline violations. Can’t tell for sure, because we haven’t yet got specific instruction in how the POE is to be implemented. That probably won’t come until the clinics this June. Although, it’s possible someone might have that information a bit earlier. 😉

  4. It seems to be a pattern when something big is rumored to be talked about at an executive meeting. It is odd how this seems to take so much time. Have to validate those 6 figure salaries I guess.

  5. https://reason.com/2022/02/23/hey-nancy-pelosi-national-debt-should-be-a-top-priority/ Wow, that is about the first time I have heard members of the U.S. Congress address the future of this country for our children and grandchildren instead of just worrying about the next election cycle. Too bad it took the U.S. government being completely insolvent for them to pull their heads out of their self-absorbed asses. Can't wait for the MMT Champions to come forth and say this deficit stuff doesn't really matter....................

  6. As the Convoy of trucks approaches DC - Timing is everything...... Pete Buttigieg says "Thank a truck driver"...... https://twitchy.com/dougp-3137/2022/02/23/timing-is-everything-transportation-secretary-pete-buttigieg-asks-everybody-to-thank-a-truck-driver/?fbclid=IwAR1izuCJ6gVymzR4jqFynPU2HBhqwTpmxB-ik_7uw5u6aK0pK0MAxVx2DVA In the meantime, DC will "Thank the truckers" by readying the National Guard and putting up those metal barriers around the capital....... You can't make this up......

  7. @DanteEstoniayou can use the "kmn" emoji, but you are sticking your head in the sand and you better wake the f*** up.

  8. https://www.indystar.com/story/money/2022/02/24/sun-king-expands-florida-after-dominating-indiana-beer-market/9297241002/ Note: Story is behind a paywall Good like to the owners of Sun King as they attempt to branch out. Maybe one day they will grow large enough to snapped up by the major player, Anheuser-Busch InBev. And while Sunlight Cream Ale is good, their best brew IMHO is the Wee-Mac Scottish Style Ale. It is excellent.

  9. I'm sure it's been said previously in this thread - but people discouraging athletes from competing in other sports are just flat missing the boat, IMO. Did anyone actually answer the original question of this thread?? I believe someone said the HWT State Champ played football. Assuming the 220 did as well. I know the MD 170 played...not sure on the 195 (?)

  10. Trey Reece was a very very very good wrestler. That is a tremendous example!

  11. 2011 IC Stevenson played fb around 210 and Reece around 200. In wrestling, Stevenson wrestled down at 189 where he was runner-up in sudden death when the son of IU wrestling coach escaped the hold, and Reece wrestled up at 215 where he was champion due to his quickness advantage despite giving up size. Reece pinned all four opponents at finals, also. I have noticed in recent years that more athletes are discovering that competing at a healthy weight is better than attempting to drain self in cutting too much, although there are freak athletes that can cut absurdly and still beat the crap out of you a day later.

  13. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-hate-putin-americans-suffer What Mr. Carlson doesn't mention is that with U.S conflict (and military spending) in the Middle East now virtually over the Military-Industrial-Complex needs another boogeyman, and Mr. Putin & Russia are it.
