I’m going to disagree on a couple of points as someone who is heavily involved with “a” high school all star game. I believe they do bring value to the athletes and their families as a nice way experience to end you high school career. I’ve been thru it as a parent, a coach, and now as they doing all the grunt work behind the scenes. I am a firm believer in them and we work very hard to make it a good experience for the players and their families. This has NEVER been about making money. We make enough to cover our expenses, which are sizable, and have enough left over for seed for our winter coaches clinic. Kids are always going opt out for whatever reason and that’s OK, it gives an option to another deserving player. Our game has been around longer than (insert stud name here) and it will be around after they don’t show up. The IFCA will survive this just fine and come back next year with a great game. You had a perfect storm of knuckleheads one year, move on.

FC beat a .500 SC team by two scores last year. In 21 another .500 SC team beat FC 26-0. I stand by what I said and no, SC is nothing like Madison.

Possibly? Is their recent success program success or more a good run of athletes? To be honest I pay zero attention to either sport.

No clue what the future holds, I have been told multiple times from multiple administrators they have no interest. They have upgraded their schedule but the bottom line is, it’s a whole other world when your schedule goes from Eastern, Scottsburg, Corydon, etc., to Columbus East, FC, Jeff, Seymour, BNL, etc. Can they compete against FC in their game this year, most likely, but they’re not ready to do it every week.

I thought Northwestern had all the smart kids…..you know all that you’ll beat us today but you’ll work for us tomorrow nonsense.

I’m sure whoever owns B&J will be just fine as I’m sure B&J are, even without my support. Besides, I’m a loyal guy, and between my homemade ice cream, which will result in a diabetic coma, and Breyers, I’m happy with my current suppliers.

I guess I’ll never know. I’m not actively boycotting, I’m not getting in anyone’s grill about eating B&J, make yourself happy. I just don’t have to support such nonsense. Has the US done some stuff we shouldn’t be proud of, absolutely, does that negate all of the good? I guess that’s for every individual to decide, I just have a real issue with people bashing the US, democracy, and capitalism while all the while enjoying the fruits of such institutions. WTF has B&J done for native Americans?

IO loves him some ice cream, but alas will never know what B&J’s tastes like. The founders were lunatics and apparently whoever owns them now shop at the same gene pool.

That team was LOADED! Having seen both teams, I’m not sure it’s a fair comparison. They game is just played so differently today. That being said, I’m sure had this team been in the current era, I think they would have been just fine.

Congrats Coach, if I could convince my wife I’d have been gone three years ago. Good for you man!
