  1. regarding improper weight cutting; https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/33355085/bellator-fighter-adam-piccolotti-suspended-6-months-posting-ig-videos-vomiting-weight-cut
  2. 2011 IC Stevenson played fb around 210 and Reece around 200. In wrestling, Stevenson wrestled down at 189 where he was runner-up in sudden death when the son of IU wrestling coach escaped the hold, and Reece wrestled up at 215 where he was champion due to his quickness advantage despite giving up size. Reece pinned all four opponents at finals, also. I have noticed in recent years that more athletes are discovering that competing at a healthy weight is better than attempting to drain self in cutting too much, although there are freak athletes that can cut absurdly and still beat the crap out of you a day later.
  3. And a missed xp away from NFL Hall of Famer Morten Andersen in 1977 semistate against Reitz of maybe moving on to the championship.
  4. My first exposure to serious football was my best friend's much older brother playing for Coach Wilbur at BD.
  5. Izzy was Mr. Football for every valid reason. Dominant in the North-South game when the top players played. Still looks like he could run over tacklers.
  6. It is shocking since that was the affluent area 40 years ago.
  7. If anyone needed a bump example, the Packers gave wonderful illustrations of fundamental neglect to special teams on Saturday night that ended their season.
  8. He was very good. Caught in an era when IU had really good backs.
  9. And a rival of Madden and Raiders.
  10. Friends went to the game. I saw later on dvr. Glad for Purdue win. Reveal in how much Karlaftis and Bell meant. unwatchable defensively. played in ff with pausing to watch most staggering lowlights. What in the world will the Boilers look like on D next year?
  11. sea of hands game on right now NFL network. awesome!
  12. Madden coached Raiders and the Steel Curtain changed the game forever with their defense. He coached under Don Coryell at San Diego St before the Raiders and have to figure that helped his defensive strategies. Madden made interesting all the eras of football he was involved with. He was one of the greatest to ever be a part of the game. Makes me want to watch all of those Madden coached Raiders playoff games and the playoff games he commentated.
  13. Hasn't Florida always been this way in our lifetimes without too much major fallout except the Charlie Pell era (who first built Clemson that way for a championship under Danny Ford). Who is not to say that this was status quo also when Dickey brought in Spurrier and then was AD at Tennessee. There has been talk over a lot of years that the old SWC had nothing on the SEC.
  14. Casey is a legit college O coordinator who could become a head coach at that level. He is sharp in seeing the field, understanding the game. If Matt Canada or Cam Cameron could be NFL O's, I have no doubt he has that ability. If he believes this is right for him, then I have no doubt he will compile the staff and, in time, they will build a team that will make a championship contender if the support from the admin/community is there. I can only guess that the ongoing success of CG has had an affect on the admin and people in the Indian Creek district and a hunger for sustained success has developed.
  15. The Laurel hoopsters I knew in early-mid 80's had such a rivalry/grudge against Connersville and vice versa. Small town vs big city thing. And that was single class basketball with Connersville Basil Ball dominantly hosting sectionals and regionals. So difficult to imagine them assimilating together, but I understand the times may have greatly changed and the biggest rivalry now could be a canoe race at Metamora.
  16. https://fox59.com/news/martinsville-police-investigating-victimization-of-students-at-high-school/ MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — The Martinsville Police Department is looking into a report made Thursday, Nov. 4 about students violating the MHS Code of Conduct. In a statement on Nov. 5, Martinsville High School Principal Eric Bowlen said Martinsville Police and Prosecutor’s Office had been notified and will handle any legal matters. The Martinsville Police Chief John Richards released a statement about the incident on Nov. 10. He called the allegations at the school, “victimization of some students.” Richards went on to say once Martinsville High School began investigating more alleged victims came forward. On Nov. 15, the Martinsville School Board held it’s first public meeting since the investigation began. Martinsville School Board President Don Lipps addressed the investigation briefly and directed anyone who wanted to know more information to the releases sent out by the school system and police department. FOX59 was at the meeting but was not allowed to record it or the live stream of the meeting because of a Martinsville School Board rule against. We have asked where we can find that rule at. You can watch the video of the Monday, Nov. 15 school board meeting here. During the public comment portion of the meeting, no one in the audience addressed the investigation. After the meeting, both Martinsville School Board President Don Lipps and interim Superintendent Dr. William Roberson declined comment on the investigation.
