  1. Good question https://fansided.com/army-and-navy-made-history-this-year-despite-falling-short-of-cfp Looks like it is the first time both teams recorded double digit season victories in the same season. Tremendous seasons by both academies. Love the pregame interview with Coach Monken before the kickoff last night....the Army coach said they had a bad taste in their mouths from eating a SH*T sandwich in their loss over Navy and had to get that taste out of their mouths. They looked much better in their bowl game....more like the team that won the American Athletic Conference.
  2. Hope he succeeds....its in his hometown area and I am sure he will be invested. Hopefully, he's learned a ton and is a better man for it.
  3. I don't know..ratings had Mendoza the #2 ranked person in the portal. Throwing for over 3000 yds in his soph more year for Cal doesn't seem to shabby. Picked IU over Georgia and Miami. (his home) I am going to trust in the IU coaching staff on this one.
  4. Only twice....you've gotten off very easy....stop whining I think Temp may have 2 different accounts....and is playing tennis with himself
  5. Gonzo shouldn’t have to chase you to donate. Given your use of this forum, donations from you freely should be automatic.
  6. I’m not as negative on Jackson. The young man is tall, can run, and throws a beautiful ball. Hope he lands where he can get on the field. Was watching Connor Baselak last night for Bowling Green. His IU experience wasn’t great, but he looked like he enjoyed slinging the ball around for the Falcons. Last night for 390 yds and 3 TD’s. Sometimes one just has to find their fit.
  7. Clemson was always playing catchup and never felt like the game could go either way. I don’t disagree about IU. But they did not quit and we’re still fighting until the end.
  8. Looks like Kenneth Grant is declaring for the NFL draft. Good luck young man.
  9. Article regarding Michigan’s portal activity https://athlonsports.com/college/michigan-wolverines/major-big-ten-college-football-program-loses-21-players-transfer-portal
  10. The margin of some of those losses were huge…losing is one thing…getting blasted in many of those games is something else. No doubt a tough schedule. Lot of players getting signed by quality programs, including CFP playoff teams.
  11. I’m looking at their losses and noticing the schools they are signing with…scratching my head. How could the team been as bad as they were???
  12. I think we’d all agree there can be a significant amount of variability in the manner of how young adults grow up and their current environments, which undoubtedly impact decision making. Not saying there shouldn’t be personal accountability, but I can understand how the short term gain may be felt as the best call at the time such decisions need to be made.
  13. He didn’t recruit Jackson and not sure why Cig isn’t warm with him. Had to factor in why he left. He has talked highly about both frosh QB’s he did recruit and guessing they will both be redshirted. For reasons only he knows, he doesn’t feel either has earned the keys to the car. Thus he’s looking for the experience. Sorry, didn’t know what you meant referring Mendoza coming from a mid major school.
  14. If Mendoza comes over, he’s the starting QB for the University of California…they are a member of the ACC, a P4 conference. Cal is no mid major.
  15. No disagreement about the Oline, but Rourke’s strength is not improvising on his feet. Once the pocket starts to collapse, he begins to duck and it’s all over. Contrast his play compared to Oregon’s Gabriel or Penn State’s Allar…much more creative on their feet. I think mobility is something IU needs to consider for their next QB1.
  16. https://fansided.com/indiana-transfer-portal-rumors-fernando-mendoza-replace-kurtis-rourke https://twsn.net/2024/12/fernando-mendoza-will-tranfer-to-the-indiana-hoosiers-for-2025
  17. Rumor is Cal’s starting QB Fernando Mendoza is committing to the Hoosiers. We shall see….
  18. Go back and check…never said IU had 30 transfers from JMU. Perhaps someone else did. I agree with you that the JMU players that came to IU were very good and would have been recruited by a number of teams. Probably were before committing to Cignetti and IU.
  19. You lost me…so Cignetti builds a strong FCS team and that’s a negative? Bottom line, it’s not easy for any FCS program to make the jump to FBS, and he did it. He got a mid major in JMU ranked in the top 25, hosted ESPN Game Day, and finished tied for first in their division of their conference in their first year of FBS play. Heck of an accomplishment! IU had a historical season. Most wins ever…not bad considering preseason picked 17th in the Big 10.
  20. In which you did nothing to earn other that cheer into the TV set. You blow excessive hot air on a forum…Cig won how many Coach of the year awards???
  21. Yea…inferior competition. Took his team straight out of FCS and was immediately successful at the FBS level. To even get a team from FCS to FBS is an incredible achievement. But hey, Cig knows he can’t hang with your football resume…who can?? 😂
