  1. Here were known as Reitz Memorial. Once we get out of Southern Indiana it seems to shift to Evansville Memorial..
  2. Heritage Hills will take care of that this year.
  3. I think we pretty much play where we are told to play. I can guarantee our Sectional gate share this year will be significantly higher than it was in 2023 when we were in 4A.
  4. That's what Coach Buening said on the WREF tournament pairings show back in October...
  5. Yep, can't imagine any new coach not wanting full control of the S&C program. Although it applies to all students and teams, the primary beneficiary and the largest group is the football team.
  6. Not all that surprising really. There was some chatter during the season. Jasper is a great job - resources, players, facilities, etc. The right person could turn this program into a tournament powerhouse.
  7. That is the impact of the "rolling" two-year cycle. Cathedral earned 1 point last year and 0 points this season. That is not enough to stay in 6A so they drop down to 5A.
  8. I'm interested to know what would have been your assignments between Sectionals 31 and 32? I don't see any geographic logic other than what the IHSAA did. I would be interested to see what the total gate receipt numbers are for Sectional 32. As pretty much everyone on here was saying since the assignments were made, whoever came out of Sectional 32 was going to be the prohibitive favorite to win 3A. That definitely still holds true.
  9. Great game! Congrats to the Patriots and best of luck the rest of the way!
  10. LOL. I usually get those by text...
  11. Chatard hasn't been a problem for us. 2008, 2009, or 2018. It's a mentality thing...
  12. With the exception of maybe the Bosse game (when it 35-0 at end of 1st Q and we stopped throwing the ball completely), I don't think we've won the time of possession battle in any game. I thought you said you had watched film on us? The O usually doesn't need a whole lot of time (and didn't last week in the 3rd Q). As I've said many times already this week, I realize HH is a great team and we will have to be nearly flawless to win.
  13. HH uses HUDL, but we use SRN and I understand they will be there with the crew, so "our" broadcast with be via SRN who will have it linked to ihsaatv.org.
  14. Wish you and Jets had been more bored last week because it would have been nice to have had some perspectives on the game from the SR side leading up to the game. You forget we are city folk, we don't have pitchforks... I agree we will have to play much better. I expect we will, but it will be a tall task beating HH. We got impatient in the first half and took too many shots deep when the underneath routes were wide open. The goal line "fumble" on the first drive of the 3rd Q should have never happened anyway. On the play before, our FB was clearly in the endzone and his forward progress had not been stopped. I don't know if the sideline ref's view was blocked or what, but the FB has his upper body and the ball 1-2 yds. into the end zone. I also thought the WR had the ball across the goal line on the long catch that set up the 1st and goal from the 1 foot line on the play before the FB dive. Reasonable minds can disagree on the questionable DPI call. Either way, both TD drives in the 3rd Q were just a handful of plays and we moved the ball down the field with relative ease, mostly on 8-15 yd. runs. Ultimately, to have any chance against HH, we will have to spread the ball around, have some success running the ball if we can force HH to play sideline to sideline, mix in some screens (which we did not run against SR), and Fisher will likely have to run the ball more than the last two games. He's capable of doing that.
  15. tango's official picks: North @ Castle. North beat a cupcake last week, while Castle had a chippy game against a solid Floyd Central. The only team wearing green that beats Castle this year is Memorial in Wk. 9. Castle 28-14 over the Huskies. Boonville @ Reitz. I really thought Reitz would have its annual #discline implosion last week at Jasper, but they held it together to beat the JCats pretty easily. Boonville doesn't have the dogs to beat a now healthy Reitz. Panthers 35-13 over the Pioneers. Memorial @ Heritage Hills. As we know, only things good that come from Heritage Hills are the Legend, the Voyage and free refills. This game has the makings of a classic between two tradition-rich programs that used to see each other an an almost annual basis. Not so much the last few years. I have to skip being with my Tiger loved ones in Lincoln City and will instead spend the night glued to the iPad at Janko's in B-town with my dependents. Tigers 34-31 over the Patriots.
  16. I was wondering about that...
  17. Well, that and it also got me home 45 minutes earlier that night...
  18. 35-12 against VL. That 1 point is important to me... lol
  19. Is sr1 still around? Haven't heard from him in a while...
  20. #1 Memorial and #2 Heritage Hills have only met 17 times, all in the 3A tournament with 7 games being for the Sectional title and 2 being for a Regional title. The biggest game in Southwest Indiana by a mile.
  21. From John Harrell's site: North Harrison [8-3] at Evansville Memorial [11-0] or Heritage Hills [10-1] at Madison [6-4] or North Harrison [8-3] at Heritage Hills [10-1] or Madison [6-4] at Evansville Memorial [11-0] For what its worth, he predicts Madison over North Harrison 28-21. I don't know anything about either team, but I suspect whoever wins is probably in trouble in the Regional...
  22. The projections are all over the place...
  23. More meaningless info, this from Calpreps: Reitz Memorial (Evansville, IN) at Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN), 7:00pm [projection and percent chances to win: Reitz Memorial (Evansville, IN) 27 (72%) Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN) 19 (28%)]
  24. I'll take Castle, Reitz and Memorial to cover. Tigers on ML...
