I don’t think the NFL is failing. We have a society that prides itself on working dangerous jobs. The most dangerous jobs always pay more. Plenty of people work in coal mines today even though they understand the inherent risks of doing so. In 40 years there will still be plenty of people who will destroy their bodies in the name of pride and money....and there will still be viewers to watch it. I think it’s possible we see more of this though. Where guys are like “ya know. I have made enough money. My kids are set for life and my grandchildren will be just fine. Let me enjoy the rest of my life”. But we are not going to see football die....just new bodies sacrificed for our entertainment more often

I think you missed the sentence where I said they went from last to one of the best because of the two rookie OL. i get that people are upset...but when the colts drafted him he had always said football was one of his many interests. He was never just a football guy. If I had the choice between A) retire at 30 with 100 million and some relatively minor injuries or B) retire at 40 with 300 million with potentially severe long term chronic injuries and probably some brain damage im taking 30 and 100 million every day.

Luck absolutely is not a bust. In the grand scheme of things. The biggest bust was the lack of due diligence that was afforded to protecting him. His injuries are a direct result of the team not doing everything in their power to protect him. A team that has routinely had so much cap space to play with failed to get the right pieces until last year. Unfortunately even after going from basically the worst OL to one of the very best in 1 year thanks to 2 great Rookies, it was too little too late. This is just the reality of the situation. I’m sure the Giants and other organizations are paying attention to this. If the giants start Jones behind that horrible OL will they pay for it down the road? Absolutely

That small little bone that was a calf strain was the colts just covering while they scrambled to figure out if luck would retire. Tank for tua...here the colts come

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again.... if youre good enough to run up the score that fast and early you are good enough to have those seniors rotate in throughout the game. There is absolutely no reason that a powerhouse team cannot play their 2s/3s earlier on in the game if they are that much better. If a team has a blowout going and they have one of their top guys get a cramp or something they usually just put in the depth guy anyways. Happened last night for Gibson Southern. Teams who say they need the clock to play their guys in blowouts are the ones doing a disservice to their players and the program. Not the IHSAA.

This is a game I’m interested in seeing how it pans out. We know HH is a great team this year....but there are a lot of whispers about tell city have a pretty stout defense. They return a ton of guys and are in the 2nd year of their new coach/system. I know tell city has a reputation of not being that great but I don’t think anyone should be sleeping on them this year.

The last time I seen it get called was I believe 2012....Jaylon smith playing RB in the 2A state championship game. Ran right and just leaped over a guy. I think he went for a score but it got called back

Gibson southern up 42-0 over forest park. 7 minutes left in 2nd. Brady Allen 12-13 260 yards 5 TDs Delong is absolutely feasting as the go to WR with 3 of those TDs

Ehhh besides all that is that they graduated Lindauer and the older Combs boy. They will be just fine I’m sure but in no way would I say that this year’s Memorial team is on the same level as last year. You can’t reload that level of play. You can only build that back up and that takes time

They are 10th. That probably about right not knowing how good the squad is and losing crucial players to graduation. I’m sure they will climb the ranks as the season goes on. If they beat central and Reitz I’m certain they will be close to the top again. Tis just a preseason poll

Gibson Southern over forest park Heritage Hills over Mt Vernon Tell City over perry central Brown County over pike central North Posey over south Spencer Linton over southridge (my upset pick) i read somewhere that linton has like 16/17 kids back from last year’s starters and are looking good. Taking a wild card guess here.

If it wasn’t for a squib kick that magically domed the kid in the head and bounced right back to us to open the second half, I’m not sure that comeback would have ever happened. The momentum shift from that really changed the way the game was going. The defense played their best 2 quarters of their lives too. I believe we held them to just 56 yards in the second half and no scores

Only needed 2 quarters a week later to beat the #2 3A in the state.....and then we had our first date with chatard lol. What a whooping that was.

If I’m the coach and get burned for 1 KR TD I’m likely not kicking at that kid for the rest of the game. 2 KR TDs? I BETTER be kicking squibs if that. I don’t care how much a coach may like his guys....if you give up two KR TDs in a game we are running squib and onsides 😂 so if someone has had 3. Yikes. Gonna have to ask coach what he was thinking. Lol
