  1. I spoke with Coach Kirschner, and he's quite obviously excited about this opportunity of coaching with his son. The "Director of Youth Sports" position did not come up, but I'm assuming...and this is assumption...he's probably retiring at the end of the year (but if you know Mike, that means he's probably going to be busier).
  2. I wouldn't be surprised If Brownsburg repeats in 6A. QB's back. They're going to be the big dog...no pun intended...in the big class.
  3. We'll probably know more after these next couple weeks as the schools on nine weeks quarters enter the last quarter. Good time to transition. Also, I doubt the transfer bill takes effect officially until July 1 as most legislation goes into effect then.
  4. I figured as much, but I was just making a point as well.
  5. I don't have time to go back through the mess, but @Muda69 is an excellent GID member. Like @temptation and a handful of others, he often takes the opposing opinion or challenges conventions and keeps the convo going, and we need that around here.
  6. What is there to "buy"? A Facebook page? There's no website or publication.
  7. On August 1, 2023, I received an unsolicited email from DT saying: --- "Hoosier Prep Gridiron is FOR SALE. We are looking for someone to take over the website and continue the work of promoting Indiana high school football, it's programs, coaches and student athletes. If you know of anyone who might be interested in taking over the site, now is a great time as the season is just getting started. It's been our pleasure to promote your programs. Any help you can provide in identifying a new site operator would be greatly appreciated. Refer all interested parties to : (His email) Below is a link to the current and updated site. Best of luck to you and your teams in 2023. (His Name) Editor / Owner" --- Clearly something changed since then. Names and emails redacted.
  8. He's overqualified. Really. No joke.
  9. https://www.wthr.com/article/sports/high-school/hs-football/lawrence-north-uindy-collin-coffer-north-central-football-head-coach/531-95f77190-0966-40b5-b478-9ff3d7f3564b Collin Coffer is the new HC at North Central. He'll be the latest coach to try to build something at NCHS. I wish him the best of luck!
  10. From what I hear, 1/2 of that equation is possible. The other wants nothing to do with the MIC, I'm told. They're happy being independent. Source would be in the know.
  11. Two former Ben Davis Football head coaches have later coached against the Giants at another school. One is obviously Mike Kirschner. The other is Bert "Red" Haviland who later coached at Southport after being at Ben Davis.
  12. Ben Davis has had as many Danville alumni as Ben Davis alumni be head coaches of the Giants. Danville Alums Trent Gipson Bill McClain Ben Davis Alums Bob Britt Bob Wilbur
  13. Well, now I feel like Todd when Clark Griswold was talking to Margo in Christmas Vacation.
  14. I didn't know why it showed up that way. I wasn't saying anything back or trying to be nasty to you, but I can assure you that my panties are not in a twist or a ruffle.
  15. I have no idea. I copied the Twitter/X link and it showed up like that. Maybe because I have dark mode on X?
  16. Archbishop Spalding from Maryland is the opponent. I hope he can play! https://x.com/KyleNeddenriep/status/1889719578478961113
  17. Well, you were the one saying Jeffersonville was a waste of time.
  18. 313-58 (North Central forfeited a game in 1997 that John Harrell doesn't recognize)
  19. They could just drive 10-15 mins and play Ben Davis like they used to, but they didn't want that. Don't know why, either. They'd dominated BD in the regular season recently. Oh well! I hope they get IMG. We know that the Ascenders have brought their national team to town recently.
  20. Coach Ralph has to be near the top of the all-time winning percentage for a coach with over 150 games on the sidelines. I can't imagine there being too many more people who have won 91 percent of their contests.
  21. I believe Dick Dullaghan would slot in at about .843 or so if memory serves.
  22. Tell us what your favorite obscure lore, tidbits or trivia about your favorite program. For example, did you know that Ben Davis and Franklin Central, despite being in the same Sectional at different times and in the same relative geographic area, have never played each other? There are others, too.
