  1. I am not confident...I just wanted to be different.
  2. Crown Point 35, Westfield 28 Brownsburg 42, Center Grove 24 I'll be contrarian.
  3. Don't take it as Gospel. I heard it secondhand.
  4. I was told the ADs in Sectional 6 agreed to let the home games be treated as home games in the Sectional.
  5. Some? They're primarily Spread now.
  6. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inducted him as a Silver Medal winner. https://hoopshall.com/inductees/john-harrell/#:~:text=created and launched JohnHarrell.net,also honored by IHSAA and Probably helps give him a little comfort while he's waiting for the Indy Riverside vs. Lighthouse Christian score on a Friday Night at 2:00 am.
  7. Coach Moore adapted...and they can still pop into that Wing-T faster than you can say, "Ope!"
  8. I imagine this time of year (with football and basketball rolling), he goes into his basement not emerging until April.
  9. Those parents are everywhere. They just don't have the resources to hire a fricken airplane.
  10. John Harrell does a great job and should be credited for his efforts.
  11. I love the 32-62-62-62-62-32 idea.
  12. There's a certain former Carmel coach coaching at Sheridan right now with his dad who might be a good fit once again if he's interested.
  13. Don't feel bad. I think we all thought the season would go better for BD than it started out. I had no idea they'd struggle as much as they did early. They got it together, but it was too late for the record to be saved.
  14. Tech did not even host its own home games. I think there must be issues with the stadium.
  15. Brownsburg's crowd was fantastic, too. They definitely played a role in the game.
  16. Letting them score quickly really hurt the Giants to start the second half. I think that's where everything went sideways. I think the Giants had them where they wanted them, but Brownsburg definitely earned it. They were in complete control in the second half. BD had no answers.
  17. I felt like Ben Davis had gone as far as they could go, so when they were up 35-7, I was pleasantly surprised. I picked them, but I knew it was a longshot. They kind of let off the gas and then it just snowballed. Brownsburg is really capable of making big snowballs if you let them, and the Giants were just as discombobulated in the second half as they were all season. Can't let a team like Brownsburg have any oxygen when you have them down.
  18. Congratulations to Brownsburg. I was on PA tonight, and we all said that BD had to keep its foot on the gas because we knew it wasn't over. We'd all seen too many Brownsburg/BD games where it was BD making the hair-on-fire comeback. The Bulldogs did it tonight. They'll have their hands full with Lawrence North next week. Should be a great one. Also, as a side note, I was very prominently dressed in BD garb. I made sure to congratulate every Brownsburg player I saw leaving, and one young man even stopped to thank the man holding the gate for them. All the kids were very classy. Extremely impressive impression from me. They weren't going crazy or acting like they'd just won the State Championship. They celebrated. Their fans were amazing, and they deserved the title in the end.
  19. I know you'll be at Brownsburg next week if the Bulldogs beat BD and you beat LN, but any intel on where the game might be held if somehow the Giants beat Brownsburg and the Irish beat LN as you should be hosting.
  20. Center Grove and Lawrence North used to be primarily Wing-T offenses, but they have begun to abandon that. Center Grove still runs elements of it when they want to line up and pound you.
  21. I'm not a betting man, but I'd take 25/1 odds on Ben Davis. I'd probably lose my money, but I'd take 'em. I think that's fair, too.
  22. Hats off to Coach Sharpe. Classy comments in the article by Kyle Neddenriep. Don't mean to step on Coach Sharpe's exit, but I'd have to think Noblesville will be a desired job. I would think someone like Caleb Small would be a good fit given his resume at Ben Davis, the excellent job he did in his first year at Northwestern and that he's coached there before and lives in the area. Just a thought on that though.
  23. Darren Evans just scored on Ben Davis again. #Nightmares
  24. Wow, we dug this one out of the wastebasket.
  25. Giants 34-31 Wildcats 35-28 Royals 28-14 Trojans 42-7 Warriors 49-7 Shamrocks 42-21
