First determining factor is number of home games. So if Tell City was on the road round 1- and Salem was at home…then Tell City would host due to not having a home game yet.

QB Hard Count - How much move movement is too much?
jets replied to kdets89's question in Officiating Forum
I appreciate your answers Bob and everything you've brought to this forum - I'm just giving you a hard time. I do wish there was a little more "clarity" when it comes to this particular rule set (I think I take more issue with the actual wording of the rule than how it is applied) - for example..in your example given - both hand gestures and voice inflection are DIRECTLY trying to get the defense to encroach - but as is life lol. -

Wow …that is a “dance around” -or should I say “lawyer’ish” answer if I’ve ever heard one. Lol… Reading between the lines- what I heard was - certain things that certain refs and/or supervisors have deemed allowable can stand. It is what it is- but I don’t believe you can in the same breath say the rule states “The offense is NOT allowed to do anything to get the defense to encroach” ….BUT “this is allowed and this is allowed”…..BUT “this is not” Seems …I don’t know…wrong -

Does it specify this in the Ref instructional manual, or is this your interpretation?? If so, can you please cite the page and subject manner so I can look it up for myself? That is such a broad designation....under the letter of the law, then going "on 2" should be out-lawed, as well as any "dummy" motions (i.e. Flexbone teams) . -
We’ll do the best we can. Our schedule really won’t change all that much. Outside of Washington, and possibly Mt Vernon- no other conference schools come remotely close to having the socioeconomic and demographic challenges in regards to student population and participation compared to SR. (Would be REAL interested in the proposed Iowa model and the shake up that would bring- but that will never see the light of day) Not an excuse- but the reality of the situation. It seems everyone has been throwing dirt on the Raiders for quite some time- but we’ll continue to fight the good fight

I'll just say this one time and be done with it - cause it is what it is at this point - but what a JOKE when comparing the 2 sectionals. Anyone with half-a-brain could have figured out a more even/balanced scenarios for the tournament. Yes, there'd be 2 hour drive times - but newsflash - there are 2 hour drive times anyway already in 31. Again - it is what it is - but the incompetency of the IHSAA just never ceases to amaze. Greenwood exploring conference change

Greenwood exploring conference change
jets replied to crimsonace1's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
So - if I'm reading this correctly - Greenwood doesn't like being the/one of the smallest in their current conference - so it wants to go join a league where it will be the BIGGEST school in the conference?? One of those wants to be a "big fish in a smaller pond" scenarios huh?? -

Why in the world are you worried about seeding and rankings in a BLIND DRAW format?? -
Do a little research on their schedule.

Friday Night Weather

R.I.P to all the grass fields after today’s games. Won’t be recoverable after and hour or so of play. I’ll never understand the people who get enjoyment from playing/watching the game in mud/slop conditions. Like- you enjoy watching a subpar product and just overall misery?? Anyway- the show must go on as they say! -
Score??

Always has bothered me. Coach got caught up in the emotion of the game and let it affect his decision making. QB sneak if to close to the goaline, or take a freakin knee! -

Rain rain rain in the forecast...get ready to a mud fest on that "natural grass field" -
I think that is why I keep coming back to this (when again, it is really none of my business) - to suspend an absolute LEGEND over something as vague as "insubordination" ?? Like...what?? It is something either REALLY bad....or A complete over-reach by an over-zealous AD OR...maybe not, but I would think if I were Coach Wright and it wasn't something totally embarrassing and/or criminal, I would want to clear the air.
-
DPI = most "over-officiated" part of the game. In my opinion of course In that same vein, Offensive pass interference is almost NEVER called. WR's get away with murder sometimes
-
What I find interesting is the pick 6 in question that the Coach on the postgame is referencing- it happened coming out of a time-out or stoppage, so it didn’t appear (to me) there was even any “signaling in” on that play?!? No idea why I was investigating further- but it peaked my interest
-
Things that are personal in nature and none of my business, I genuinely don't care that much. HOWEVER - when a figure such as the win coach in all of Indiana High School football and a legend gets the hammer dropped on him by School Administration, I think it reaches beyond just the local community. As a school employee - it also peaks interest as to the dynamics in play. Was it an "over-zealous AD" trying to make his mark...or an old "get off my lawn/can't tell me what to do" moment from Coach? We'll probably never know and your right, none of my business. But I would disagree with it not being newsworthy.

What on earth is going on here?? The whole ordeal just seems odd to me...
-
So we can’t ask what happened on a message board?? What’s the point then??

All SIAC teams play on turf fields though, correct?? Or is VL still grass?
