There are no more SF “cycles” - try and keep up.

2 of the most rabid fan bases on the GID- so I’ll make my statement early in the week and then just duck for cover. First of all, much respect to both programs. Their history speaks for itself…both have great followings and their players expect to win. Having said that- and From the unique (and unfortunate) standpoint of having played both squads- I don’t think Memorial is gonna know what hits them Friday night. HH by 14+

Appreciate it. Our fellas have been thru the ringer this year- and just kept showing up to work. Injuries (season ending) to 3 senior starters, and arguably 3 of our best (2 captains- potential All State type kids) Never an excuse- I’m sure no one is 100% healthy at this time of year- but would have loved to had our full arsenal last night. Still, an 8-3 season (with our 3 losses coming to #1, #2, and #3 in the State) with all those injuries is nothing to be ashamed of.

In the grand scheme of life - of course. There was no fatality, someone has to win, and someone has to lose. That's how competition works. However, pretty insensitive statement to make to imply it is "unimportant" or "doesn't matter." We have a whole site dedicated to HS football and I'm sure this moment "stings" pretty good for the Danville Football community. That aside - anyone catch the Danville coaches comments about we win/play with "Danville kids" ...i.e. a shot at the Parochial community. I particularly found that comical knowing what I do about Henderick's and surrounding counties and players

Bob - you said on the "officiating forum" earlier in the week, that sometimes refs have to use their "judgement" - and that not everything is so black/white as outlined in the rulebook. (I believe you even said "that's why you guys make the big bucks" lol). From an outsiders perspective with no skin in this game, this would seem to be one of those instances.

First determining factor is number of home games. So if Tell City was on the road round 1- and Salem was at home…then Tell City would host due to not having a home game yet.

I appreciate your answers Bob and everything you've brought to this forum - I'm just giving you a hard time. I do wish there was a little more "clarity" when it comes to this particular rule set (I think I take more issue with the actual wording of the rule than how it is applied) - for example..in your example given - both hand gestures and voice inflection are DIRECTLY trying to get the defense to encroach - but as is life lol.

Wow …that is a “dance around” -or should I say “lawyer’ish” answer if I’ve ever heard one. Lol… Reading between the lines- what I heard was - certain things that certain refs and/or supervisors have deemed allowable can stand. It is what it is- but I don’t believe you can in the same breath say the rule states “The offense is NOT allowed to do anything to get the defense to encroach” ….BUT “this is allowed and this is allowed”…..BUT “this is not” Seems …I don’t know…wrong

Does it specify this in the Ref instructional manual, or is this your interpretation?? If so, can you please cite the page and subject manner so I can look it up for myself? That is such a broad designation....under the letter of the law, then going "on 2" should be out-lawed, as well as any "dummy" motions (i.e. Flexbone teams) .

We’ll do the best we can. Our schedule really won’t change all that much. Outside of Washington, and possibly Mt Vernon- no other conference schools come remotely close to having the socioeconomic and demographic challenges in regards to student population and participation compared to SR. (Would be REAL interested in the proposed Iowa model and the shake up that would bring- but that will never see the light of day) Not an excuse- but the reality of the situation. It seems everyone has been throwing dirt on the Raiders for quite some time- but we’ll continue to fight the good fight

So - if I'm reading this correctly - Greenwood doesn't like being the/one of the smallest in their current conference - so it wants to go join a league where it will be the BIGGEST school in the conference?? One of those wants to be a "big fish in a smaller pond" scenarios huh??

Why in the world are you worried about seeding and rankings in a BLIND DRAW format??

Do a little research on their schedule.

R.I.P to all the grass fields after today’s games. Won’t be recoverable after and hour or so of play. I’ll never understand the people who get enjoyment from playing/watching the game in mud/slop conditions. Like- you enjoy watching a subpar product and just overall misery?? Anyway- the show must go on as they say!
