  1. IU is undefeated playing for a chance at the #1 seed Saturday. There isn't another team in college football that I'm afraid of this year. If ND is not only fortunate enough to make the playoff, but win their opening round game on the road and meets IU, will discuss when the time calls for it. Big bad ND who beats up on the dregs of the ACC doesn't really move me.
  2. I don't care enough one way or the other. Just find it hilarious when ND and their fans try and take the high road on joining a conference and then act like they have no clue why they are left out of things like this when they are.
  3. Guess what? ND would have the same opportunity as Tulane this weekend if they were in a conference. This isn’t hard.
  4. Notre Dame is free to do whatever they want, doesn’t bother me for a second. Stopping acting dumbfounded in these situations though. They have one decent win all year and lost to the two best teams in their schedule. They don’t have these Okoro to play their way in via a conference championship and that’s their own damn fault.
  5. Why is ND "easily the best two loss team"? Based on what? Their resume sucks. They have one win against a team currently in the CFP top 25 rankings. Turns out that beating a bunch of bottom half ACC teams for 2 straight months isn't a great strategy. Join a damn conference.
  6. The committee has already said teams that are idle can move up or down. It was a direct quote from the committee chair last night specifically about Notre Dame and Miami. They will reassess after this weekend and completely re-rank the teams going into Sunday. Right now there is a buffer between ND and Miami, and that team is BYU. BYU winning puts them in the field as an automatic qualifier and bumps ND who is the last at-large team in the field as of today. BYU losing more than likely drops them and there is now no buffer between Miami and ND. Miami's head to head win over ND should propel them over ND. I honestly think ND's only path is for Alabama to get absolutely blown out by Georgia. Could see ND jumping Bama in that scenario.
  7. The way I see it, ND is in a whole heap of trouble and BYU is going to screw them either way. A BYU win Saturday puts them in the field and knocks ND out. A BYU loss and they fall out of the 11 spot pitting ND and Miami right next to each other for the first time since the rankings have been released. Committee has previously stated they have not compared ND to Miami because they were too far apart in the rankings. Miami will jump ND Sunday if that is the case.
  8. They did but looked terrible, their offense is horrible. I'd honestly put Texas in over Oklahoma as the Longhorns beat them 17.
  9. Not nearly as funny as being accused of being an Ohio State fan.
  10. From 08-12 while I was down there…went to every damn one. Usually try to go to 2-3 a year these days but not always practical, especially this year considering my wife and I had a child in September. Was able to go to homecoming two weeks ago and then again last night.
  11. Torn? Funniest damn thing I’ve heard in my life. I didn’t sit in 20 degree weather last night just to make a decision next week. I root for the school I attended, not a novel concept. Loser.
  12. Lol would have woken up the next day either way. Can’t stand either program.
  13. Michigan guarding their M at midfield after the game was the best defense they played all game.
  14. Michigan going to end the year 9-3 with uncompetitive losses to the three best teams on the schedule. Surely that isn't the standard? Yikes.
  15. Purdue is noticeably better than last year but believe I called 2-10 before the season started. @Spartystill think Purdue upsets IU in a couple weeks?
  16. Can't vacate wins if you don't win any games to begin with. Purdue is playing chess not checkers.
  17. “The NCAA was so mad at Michigan they punished Michigan State.” -Jerry Tarkanian probably
  18. New Pal only 65%? Implied odds on that is -185. That’s a car note bet right there.
  19. Yep, unfortunate reality. Inconsistent QB play and the lack of a 2nd and 3rd gear offensively really prevented this Cathedral team from reaching its ceiling.
  20. Really, really good football game tonight between New Pal and Cathedral. About as physical and hard hitting of a game you’ll these days. I think for weeks the storyline was New Pal’s offense vs Cathedral’s defense, and ironically enough, the game can be defined by two special teams plays that both went New Pal’s way. New Pal ran the opening kick back for a TD and later had a tremendous hustle play that prevented a TD on a kick return ensuing a Cathedral safety. Cathedral went on to throw a pick in the end zone from the 3 yard line 3 plays later.
  21. Not sure there’s such a thing as a moral victory in the playoffs, especially for a program with 14 state titles.
  22. Charlie Spegal is still in college?!?!? How? He was like 20 at New Pal and that was 5-6 years ago.
  23. He kicked a FG (that ultimately missed) down 16 points in the 4th quarter. I think you can definitely still call in to question Freeman's coaching practices.
  24. -IU and Ohio State (assuming they play) will sort 1 and 2 out. Doesn't really matter where each are ranked right now. I don't really see how the loser drops below the 4th seed and first round bye -Notre Dame currently last at-large team in the field. Could easily be jumped by Texas this weekend if the Longhorns win at Georgia. ND needs USC to keep on winning and Pitt to stay a ranked opponent when they play in a few weeks.
  25. If Ohio State and IU are both undefeated playing for the B10 championship...the loser isn't dropping out of the top 4 unless it's a completely non-competitive 40 point game game. If Alabama and/or Texas A&M lose before they play each other in the SEC title game you can probably pencil in Ohio State and Indiana as top 4 seeds before they even play the game.
