As I've stated many times around here, the Irish play wherever they're put. The Irish will have a much more experienced team next season. A lot of underclassmen had a chance to start and play a lot. And the freshman team was undefeated! I want to add that it was a chore just getting home last Friday night. The Binford Blvd./I465 entrance ramp has been closed for years now. I made the mistake of going in that direction to get onto I465 west and had to go north to get back in the right direction. I tried to get off at 96th St. but I was boxed in by many trucks trying to maneuver their way through the traffic. I was finally able to get off at 106th St. and get turned around into the right direction. I feel bad for those that have to use I69 at rush hour. It was a mess at 9:30, and I can imagine what it's like at 4 or 5 in the evening going north.

The Irish moved up to #8 in the coaches poll, and #8 in the AP.

Not surprising, the Colts lose to the Bills, 30-20. The Bills are good. The Colts not so good.

The Irish have finally taken control, leading 28-3 with about 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Riley Leonard is still having problems throwing downfield. Florida State is bad!

I read somewhere today that if 'Bama beats LSU tonight, they have a 79% chance of making the Playoff even with two losses! That's just crazy!

Ole Miss 28, Georgia 10. This is another one in this crazy season. This is good for IU and Notre Dame.

Thanks, my friend! I'll try my best to hang around for another season! Right now I've got to get some rest. The Irish basketball team should be very good this season too. I hope to see a lot of their games too. And I'm thankful for the GID, where we can all share our thoughts, no matter how outlandish.

I'll try my best to hang around for another season. But things happen when you get my age. I'd really like to give a shout out to Jalon Bonds! He had such a great junior season, I was looking forward to having him in the lineup for his senior year. Unfortunately injuries cut most of his season short, but he gave us a glimpse of could have been last night. I hope his recruitment goes well as he's a special talent.

Congratulations to the Lawrence North Wildcats, sectional #6 champions!

The Irish offense gave LN 14 points and only scored 7, a nice run by senior RB Jalen Bonds with about 20 seconds left in the game. The Irish defense only allowed 10 points but the game was basically over at halftime, even though LN was only up 7-0. Irish QB Cameron Koers left the game shortly before the end of the first half after throwing a pick six. I'm not so sure he wasn't injured earlier in the game because his throws were erratic much of the first half, which is unusual for him. The Irish had a very good season considering the youth on the team. They were beaten badly only twice this season, against Brownsburg and Lawrence North. They had two other last minute loses to Cincinnati St. Xavier and Warren Central. They finished 6-4 and at last Sagarin they had the 9th toughest schedule in the states, and that doesn't include the loss to St. X. I'm 81 years old but I sure hope I'm still able to get to the games next season to watch this team grow. The Irish freshman team was undefeated, and a lot of young players got a lot of experience this season at the varsity level. Hats off to the Wildcats! They can win it all! Their game next week will be a doozy against Brownsburg.

It's game day! The weather is really good for this time of the year. This game is the Game Of The Week on WNDY, Channel 23, for those who can't make it to LN . I hope to see a lot of Irish fans in the stands!

The Irish get #1 for the sectional final. They are getting some injured players back, which may help. But it's a tall order to play the 6A #1 team in the sectional. It should be a dandy!
