@BTF I intentionally never mentioned any specific team. To assume any one of them is my “beloved” team is bold, Cotton. To support my initial point, this year might be one of those years where the top 3A team (Reitz) looks to be equal to or better than the top rated 5A team.

Didn't Reitz lose last night to another 3A team by 40 points?

He had to have meant Reitz MEMORIAL.

Common mistake.

I can't add anymore to this conversation until I see Memorial play. You certainly seem impressed with them. All I can say is it's going to be a fun state finals weekend.

Heck, I just hope we can get past Heritage Hills.  Our sectional is brutal.  I couldn’t care less about hypothetical matchups against 5A teams.

FWIW, while I really like our team this year, we’ve had better ones (IMO).

Too many state title appearances for Memorial. Share the love and let someone else go to Indy.

Or maybe it’s just a pool of mediocrity after the top 6-7 teams…next few weeks will tell.

Well, front runners are Brownsburg, Westfield, and Lawrence North. Next man up would be Cathedral, Center Grove, Crown Point, and Hamilton Southeastern. So yeah, seven teams in my opinion who have a legitimate shot.

I’ll add “good Fishers.”

Out on Carroll?

I can get on board with good Fishers. Carroll is out. They already lost by multiple scores to HSE and Center Grove. Beating Wayne by 1pt wasn't super impressive, although it was a windy rain game. If Snider goes back to the the offense they ran against Homestead, I think I'll take them over Carroll in the rematch. But that's a big "if." The north will come down to Crown Point vs Indy Burbs in the end.

I would have Carroll out, don’t see them or Snider winning regionals this year. Out on Fishers, just don’t see it. Thank goodness nobody is mentioning Warren anymore…

According to Calpreps, New Pal has the second weakest strength of schedule in the Top 25. Come playoff time that will hurt them. Playing meaningful 4th quarter minutes prepares a team for pressure situations.

are you new to high school football in this area?

I'm seeing his name show up as MAC players on the NFL Draft radar. Excellent Safety.

That's awesome.  Doesn't seem that "weak strength of schedule" he played in high school had much of an impact huh?  😉

thanks guys...yes it goes by so fast...I remember that first game vs Center Grove like it was yesterday, and it was six years ago...good memories.  He has had an awesome career and and great time at Toledo.  Has degree in hand, working on his masters, and will start combine prep in January.  Should be fun.

Columbus North beat Fishers and LN in a scrimmage this summer.  I know, I know.  It's a scrimmage.  But we did so with our back up QB.

I think it really depends on how the scrimmage is run by the head coach. The only way to truly know if Columbus North beat LN would be to ask LN's head coach. If Snider were judged by their scrimmage every year, they'd barely crack the 2A Top 10.

I think LN has the highest ceiling of any team in 6A but definitely has some things to clean up.

Even though they're bottom half enrollment and have over a 50% F/RL program?

Sorry couldn't resist 😄

No, because they have modeled their football/track program after Center Grove and have the right guys.  They get modern football.

Not sure I agree with that. Brownsburg has the highest ceiling, they just need to learn to win in the postseason. If/when they do, they will be Center Grove part 2
