Really? Made my donation earlier this year. I will be making another one so don’t need your offer. I am not a Luers fan, but HH would dream to have their resume over the years. They compete ever year against 5A and 6A schools, I am sure HH has nothing comparable so I think Luers would board the bus to LOS, which they have done MANY times, and not be afraid of big, bad HH.

I'm not a Heritage Hills fan. No question Luers has been a tremendous 2A program though the years. My feeling that HH will win 3A is not a crack on Luers. Truth be told, I know nothing about any of the teams in 3A North.

Only way HH does not win it all this year in 3A is if the Goldsberry kid stays home. If he is on the field no one in 3A is beating them. They have already beat two of the best 3A teams in the state in GS and Memorial.

I'm hoping Heritage HIlls takes 3A so by no means am I knocking the Patriots. I will just add I remember when Heritage Hills finally got over the Chatard hump YEARS ago and many thought it was a foregone conclusion they would beat Andrean at the RCA Dome and that didn't play out as planned.  Wow, didn't realize that game was 20 years ago.

I think Luers main competition in the North is Garrett who is undefeated at 12-0. Luers and Garrett played several times when both were in 2A with Luers always coming out in top, but this is not a powerhouse Luers team, especially offensively. In the past, Garrett had trouble dealing with the athletes at Luers, thinking of Jaylon Smith and Anthony Spencer, both ex NFL players. Maybe this year it is a more even playing field for Garrett. Kind to of rooting for Garrett to go to LOS and compete for a state title, but we will see

Those poor kids from Ritter may still be having nightmares.

Every year I am on these boards some person runs their mouth about Luers and every year they come to regret it. Not a vintage Luers team this year, but the defense is really good and there are a bunch of athletes. Offense is ok, but let me tell you HH has nothing that Luers hasn’t seen a million times from 5A and 6A teams that are MUCH better than HH has ever dreamed of being. Keep that in mind as you run your mouth…

You beat North Posey by 10 last year Luers beat them by 37.

See, now this is the kind of stuff I'm always hoping to find on these forums.  These Luers guys are locked cocked and ready to rock!   I'm sincerely hoping they do conquer the north and make the trip to Indy.  Looking at the Sagarin, all the polls, and then checking out this thread it looks like the Knights are the Rodney Dangerfields of 3A.

As for the North Posey game last year... I know nothing about the 2024 Luers but these are definitely not last years Patriots.

I find it interesting all the talk on here is about Luers while NOONE seems to think about Garrett in the north......could come back to bite some people in the next 2 weeks.....Garrett is for real....

Over 300 rushing ypg, defense that flies to the ball and seems to make every play, true dual threat QB with 800 yards passing yards, 13 tds and only 2 ints and over 1k yards rushing. The schedule hasn't been real strong but they handled Lakeland's D1 QB and his plethora of weapons twice. They also handled the terminator Seth Pruitt and West Noble twice. Luers vs Garrett would be a slugfest.

Luers makes way too many mistakes and isn't a 3A juggernaut.  They have to execute flawlessly and the coaches have to exercise proper game and clock management to give them a chance the next three weeks.

I would think if you can lose to Fort Wayne South you can lose to anyone remaining in 3A. Including an undefeated Maconaquah squad that has to be feeling very confidant after winning the 1st Sectional Title in school history. I'll never count out FW Luers from winning a Title considering the comp they typically face in the playoffs is a step below the best they see from the SAC. But, as others have mentioned in this thread, this doesn't feel like a vintage Luers team that should strike fear in their opponents.

What you smoking dude? That is the most asinine thing I have read on here in a very long time💩. If Maconaquah is lucky enough to win this game, it damn sure isn’t going to be by 28 points. Ask previously undefeated Mississinewa who had some posters running their mouth all year about that…

If I didn't know any better, and maybe I don't, that looks like a man desperate for Luers to get knocked off so Heritage Hills wouldn't have to face them in Indy.....🤞

I think "bother" is a stretch, more humored than anything else.

On the contrary, I'm really hoping Luers keeps marching on all the way to the Big House.  For entertainment value if nothing else.  Never seen a fanbase of a team that just won state have such a big chip on its shoulder.

IF Heritage Hills makes it back  to LOS, whoever's there from the north wil be a worthy opponent.  No question about it.  Whether it's Garrett, Knox, or Maconaquah I know it will be a hard fought battle.  I'm sure even Luers would probably put up a good fight. 🙂

Woah!  Eeeeazy baby, I'm just making my predictions like everybody else.  Maconakawaka is a damn fine ball club.

Maconaquah. Close.

When I was attending Maconaquah High School I had several relatives who attended neighboring schools that for some reason couldn't pronounce the name.  So they just called it "Monkey Squash".

Also back then many people in the area didn't even know what "Maconaquah" meant.  Trivial to find out in this day and age though.

Maconakawaka has a real shot, much better squad than Maconaquah.

If all three Miami government schools ever consolidate into one Maconakawaka will be the new name I will put forward.
