Seems about right.Β  This one comes open every 4-5 years for some reason...

Wonders if that was Kirschner's decision or the administration. Massive mistake if it was the latter. It's hard to build a program in a window of just four years. If anyone can get away with it it's WC with their enrollment and the talent roaming the halls.Β

Kirschner is staying on as AD. He's not a young guy, so I could see him retiring from coaching and sticking with administration.Β

Forgot that he was the AD also, but what you said makes sense. They shouldn't have any problem attaining a good coach being that they're rich in resources.Β

He IS administration, lol.

He gonna be the boss of the new hire?Β  That wouldn't be awkward.

Pretty sure it's Kirschner's though I haven't talked to him. Mike's 63. He doesn't look it. I can imagine being AD isn't a picnic when you're doing it on top of being football coach.

It has to be a grind. I’m shocked that they ever went the route of having your AD be the head football coach too. Just seems to be too much for one person to handle as both those roles require a lot of time and investment.

I will be very intrigued on who their next hire is. When they brought back Criss Beyers for boys basketball last year, that was kind of surprising but a very welcome one. Wonder what the football hire will be like.Β

No knowledge of any situations going on at Warren, but bring back Kevin Wright and Dave Burton please,Β  along with Steve Tutsie.Β Β

Tutsie can go fly a kite. Sorry...BD bias here.

I am hearing "rumblings" about Kevin Wright returning to Carmel....not sure level of accuracy.

Wright at Carmel or Warren Central will give Center Grove a run for Central Indiana Supremecy.Β

I have heard some rumblings as well regarding the Carmel job, but that was before the Warren job was open.Β

The AAD is Derek Moyers. That's two *really* good football coaches in athletic administration.Β

Saw and spoke with Coach K this weekend as he was at the Monrovia Womens Wrestling Tourney this weekend.Β  Decision was his to leave the HFC position, but staying on as the AD for WCHS.Β Β

They are still in search for their candidate.

I heard they wanted to hire you, Temp.

If so, I’d be their 5th choice…first three said β€œno thanks.”
