That wasn't a tournament or bowl game. IU has won some big games this year, but they are very inexperienced when it comes to post-season big games. They're 1-1 in those the last 2 years. They beat #1 Ohio State, the defending national champion, on a neutral field and held that high powered, NFL riddled roster, to 10 points. Go play your tecmo bowl with the Irish playing Michigan and let the big boys play real football. For the record, had the Irish taken care of their home field this year, maybe playing for pop tarts wouldn’t have been in their cards… Edited December 29, 2025 by Komets2727 1 Quote

IU is 23-2 the last 2 years, have beaten everyone in the Big 10 they have played be it home, away, or neutral field. Only Big 10 team to go into Oregon since they have joined the Big 10 and win, by double digits. Held the Buckeyes to 10 points in winning the Big 10 title. Most points given up in a single game this year was 24 points to Penn State. Utterly dominant. Pretty sure the Hoosiers can and will show up to play wherever the game is Think Oregon is 47-3 at home in their last 50 games. Autzen is a ridiculously hard place to play. 21 minutes ago, gonzoron said: 0-1 in CFP tournament games. Unproven there as I said earlier. That wasn't a tournament or bowl game. Alabama didn't even make the playoff last year and lost 28-7 to Georgia in the SEC championship game. 1 1 Quote

My guess is they will be around for a while with their own billionaire booster. He will buy some offense for the Red Raiders. Cody Campbell. Quote

PHJIrish Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Ole Miss with a 47 yard field goal to win the game. Good! 37-34 Ole Miss, but there are 6 seconds left. FINAL! IU is the only team to win after receiving a first round bye! Quote
PHJIrish Posted January 2 Posted January 2 So, there was a review after time expired and Ole Miss was credited with a safety. I don't know if that helped anyone, or if anyone cares. Final score is 39-34. The officials are still on the field waving their arms about something. I guess there's still one second left and Georgia is trying to match the Stanford/Cal game of years past. It didn't work, the game is now officially over! Quote

I would be curious if Ole Miss has any legal standing knowing that he negotiated for his new job during the season while still under that contract. I would even say he got out of that contract, so he is not entitled to anything from the point he left onward. Quote

I saw reports that LSU is paying the bonuses as a part of its contract with Kiffin. 1 1 Quote

I hope that info on social media is incorrect...although, I am not sure what is owed to him on his work toward this season and where it breaks off. Guessing its all in the contract. 1 hour ago, PDB26 said: I saw reports that LSU is paying the bonuses as a part of its contract with Kiffin. That makes sense....perhaps something he negotiated with them. I assume the contracts his assistants signed with LSU have not yet went into effect? Quote
