Muda69 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 It's clear the Hoosiers are over matched in this contest. They can only hope to not make it a complete rout. Nice season for IU. Quote
PHJIrish Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 14-0 mid way through the 2nd quarter. Quote
PHJIrish Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Notre Dame's Jeter with a 49 yard FG with 7 seconds left in the half. Irish up 17-3 at half. Quote
PHJIrish Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 27-17 final. IU scores two late TD's. Outstanding season for the Hoosiers! The Irish will be playing Georgia next. Quote
Bash Riprock Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 IU never recovered after the poor passing decision and interception in the red zone followed by the 98 yd TD run in the first quarter. Congrats Irish and Irish fans!! Go get the Dawgs! 2 Quote
RingLeader Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) ND played well limiting IU to 130 yds total O until the last 4:00 … ND also squandered points. First and five at IU 15 and they call three pitiful play calls and end up with blocked fg. A glaring issue for ND has been special teams. They have had multiple FG’s blocked and punter just not very good. Would think ST coach would be under some fire. Georgia will take advantage of this I’m sure. Irishman Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Going back to the 2nd half of the Michigan game, IU's O Line showed they could not handle additional pressure. OSU put a lot of pressure on Rourke most of that game, and Notre Dame did the same. Missed tackles haunted them as well; an issue they had not had for quite a while now reappeared. Stupid penalties hurt as well, although the one on the IU sideline SHOULD have been offsetting. Quote

Once the pocket starts to collapse, he begins to duck and it’s all over. Contrast his play compared to Oregon’s Gabriel or Penn State’s Allar…much more creative on their feet. I think mobility is something IU needs to consider for their next QB1. Edited December 22, 2024 by Bash Riprock 1 Quote
Footballking16 Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 What an atmosphere Friday but my health took the worst hit lol, haven't been this sick in awhile standing out in the cold all day/night. Congrats to the Irish, they controlled the LOS and were a vastly superior team. Disappointed with Coach Cignetti and the gameplan. Can't talk all that crap and call a game like that. Rourke was never the same after that INT and refused to look over the middle until the game was out of hand. I thought pass pro in the first half was fine and Rourke just had happy feet. ND/Georgia should be war. Will say, Riley Leonard probably needs to take more shots downfield if ND is to have a chance. Won't be able to dink and dunk down the field like they did IU. 1 Quote

Glad you got to go. Bet that’s a bucket list item. Quote
tango Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 IU had an incredible season and no IU fan should be overly disappointed with the loss. ND is just a better / deeper team. Coach Cig has IU going in the right direction and IU fans have lots to look forward to for football season for a change. 2 Quote
