So, on the plus side the All 22's indicate Johnson's offense works here and created a lot of open receivers for Caleb. Bad news is Caleb is either not pulling the trigger or wildly irratic when he does pull the trigger. Really hoping Johnson and J.T. Barret can fix it.

Dude is a winner.  Love him. I think Bears fans would love him as the local kid.

The first half social media takes (many now since deleted) were juicy.

Fun Home Opener to attend, sadly been part of that show many times and the same slow walk to the common folk of 31 st lot.....

GOOD NEWS, unlike the rediculous amount of FART noises on X with 10000 online football coaches who think they understand what Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams was supposed to do every snap and every play, I will continue to sit back patiently and watch it all unfold.

Zero Worries here.   9-11 wins is what I believe is in order

I think I underestimated how good Green Bay is and how much Detroit's offense would love to run the score up on Johnson. Word out of Detroit is they got sick of hearing about how they would decline without Johnson.

I definately didn't underestimate how much of a liability Braxton Jones is at LT. Apparently, Darnell Wright is becoming one as well at RT. Both lines pretty much suck. Good thing Poles used his first 2 draft picks on guys that get basically zero targets. At least he drafted a RT that can't beat out Wright and isn't capable of switching to LT. Like a sucker I'll be dialed in on Sunday hoping it's the start of the turnaround.

Now go do all the other 31 GMs........

Fun Game right !!

Long way to go

But Im not a chicken little guy nor someone who listens to fart noises with folks who are not in meeting rooms and think they are experts because they see a clip online or they get paid to create phone calls

rinse repeat

I mean the team down south had a VERY VERY LARGE faction of their fan base losing their minds when Colts went with the BEST option to win football games and Daniel Jones........  Seems like Coaches know what they are looking at and evaluating it accordingly.   Interesting concept

C'mon Coach, how many NFL GM's draft a Punter in the 4th round when they have many more pressing needs on the DL and OL? I'm all for waiting and seeing how this turns out and I'm still positive, but criticizing Poles is certainly fair game. He's had a lot of misses in the draft and in free agency.

Unfortunately, key defensive injuries are starting to pileup and Johnson is possibly now out for the year. It's going to be hard for Allen to run his scheme when going man in the secondary will be tough to do.

But ....if The Bears did not cough a 4th quarter lead vs Minnesota ....... are these conversrtations being had?

Don't take the low hanging fruit that you see and hear places like The Score670 or ESPN 1000 , X or Facebook or Tock Tick. ....

And I went through the draft last year about 10 games in.....do you want me to pull it up again?   Literally went throgh the entire draft of OL guys....(didn't do DL)  and there was only 1 starter on a Bad Zona team and a few guys on PAT team.....So again who did they miss out on again last year after they drafted Taylor in round 4 who play OL and DL......

THEN go do that with all other GMs as well in the NFL who make decisions at the time they think fits what they are looking for......

Its easy to say these things with having the opportunity of hindsight.......

Listening to some of the narratives around a world of NFL, you'd think that the Bears had an absolute sieve of a right tackle.

That's really surprising!!! The penalties create a negative perception, at least for me they did. Going back to Poles, does it not bother you that he hasn't drafted a single Pro Bowl player? I'm not throwing the towel in, but it doesn't feel like we currently have one of the better GM's in the league. Still penty of time left on the clock though for him to build a winner in Chicago with the extension.

Accountability and No Nonsense.   Refreshing

Exactly. I had zero interest in listening to Flus' pressers. Just vanilla answers that never really go the point or gave you an idea of how Trus was handling the situation. Johnson is a breath of fresh air. I look forward to watching this team improve throughout the year. I do wonder who he was calling out on offense for they way they play when the play isn't going their way. My money would be on Moore.

Pro Bowl is silly these days.... means nothing,  ALL PRO, yea that is a good, gold star for GM's IMO.

As far as a clock goes, If Ben Johnson didn't like the alingment and view of Poles, he is not getting the same extension that alings with Johnson's Contract.

FINALLY, Bears have a front office that has properly alinged vertically:   McCaskey's out of the way, WARREN football guy in charge of FOOTBALL big picture who allows POLES and his staff with JOHNSON and his staff to create the roster they want.

Takes time, pieces are coming together, but I had ceiling at 11 wins and floor at 8 wins, see how it shakes.

I mean:  Brock Purdy was the starting QB last year...... Mostert was a starting RB ........

100% DJ MOORE

If he becomes too much of a distraction, send him and contract packing, insert Burden and lets send a message DIVA do not belong......

Just my opinion

REALLY hope Ozzie or someone can push Brax Jones..... and THANK GOODNESS Poles didn't jump the gun and extend him 2 years or last year.

Johnson called out Jones to the media on Thursday or Friday. He was asked how he felt about Jones, paused, essentially said that Jones preps well, starts well, and fades away in the 2nd half and that has to change. Seems like the door is open for Ozzie to take the job if he can adjust from playing RT at BC to LT in the NFL.

You can see Caleb Williams developing right in front of you. That throw on the flea flicker was insane. But the important thing is Johnson is now trusting him with plays like that. That tells me a lot about what Johnson thinks of him, and I trust his opinion.

Best thing he said post game was how much BETTER CW18 has been getting in and out of huddle,  plays getting called quickly and "clean"    HUGE in the NFL

Time to run it back on the Road
